Fabulous!

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: The bed linens were so comfortable, the location was great for us, and the bar and restaurant were superb/
Cons: Our standard room was small but it was really all we needed, and the decor was classic. I wouldn't change a thing.
Location: Near two Metra stations, nice neigborhood, great dining in walking distance, and a beautiful walk to the White House.
We can't say anything negative about this property, It was wonderful!

Nice historical hotel

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Within walking distance of all attractions.
Cons: WiFi.
Location: The White House, monuments, Capitol Hill, museums.
Stayed 3 nights in The Henley Park hotel. As this hotel is an old building it does appear a little 'tired'. Our Room was clean and comfortable. We had a Queen bed which is equivalent to a UK double and we found it small as we are used to kingsize. We were able to open the windows as it was quite warm for us, but was quite noisy during the night due to constant sirens. The bar staff was very friendly and happy hour was appreciated and we had the light bar snack - a Selection of Fine Artisan Cheeses and Meats which was delicious and well worth the $15. WiFi was very slow in our room. Breakfast was really nice with a good selection, and the staff very pleasant. The hotel is very close to the White House and all other attractions in walking distance.

Location is all

This hotel was convenient and located in a respectable area. Our experience started out unpleasant with check in at the front desk. The staff seemed very put out with any type of customer service. The room was really only comfortable for one person, we had to get out of each others way. The bed was very nice, however all the other furniture is in need of repair or replacing. The hotel room did not match the pictures on the website, very old and antique, not modern in any way. We enjoyed sitting at the bar, although there are some great bars and restaurants a few blocks away that are worth the walk.

Good location is this hotel's best asset

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Decor, architecture
The Henley is quite close to the Mall but this is the hotel's best feature. Nicely appointed, the room was very small and noisy. We had difficulty with some of the staff (eg. some of the front desk staff being almost rude when being asked for assistance, room not cleaned until after 4 p.m., etc.). The restaurant was pleasant as were the people who worked there. On our next visit to D.C., we will definitely not stay at the Henley and have advised friends of our experience.

Small elegant hotel close to convention centre

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Location, size, established historical feel
Cons: Perhaps added shelving in bathroom
Pleasant staff helped with recommendations and directions. While room was quite small, it was very clean, comfortable. Walking distance to Metro, mall, White House etc. Good restaurant.

Cons: Pillows.
Location: Very close to the Metro. Very close to the White House.
Lovely hotel. The only thing that requires changing are the pillows -- down pillows are needed. We loved the restaurant.

Beautiful and elegant property

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Every. Single. Thing.
Location: It was close to Chinatown and a 15-20 minute walk to Union Station and very close to the Visitor Center to catch Old Town Trolley. Perfect location.
We recently took a 4-day 5-night trip to D.C. and were lucky to have found this property. The Henley Park Hotel is a beautiful, elegant old property filled with gorgeous wood, marble and great character. The employees could not have been more accommodating and pleasant; the restaurant food more delicious, nor the junior suite more spacious and perfect. We had a wonderful time touring D.C. on the Old Town Trolley, and by foot, and especially loved coming back to this beautiful hotel at the end of the day and sitting at the bar with the talented bartender Cuong (we all called him "Cool") sharing interesting, funny and spirited stories of our adventures -- and lives -- with fellow patrons. It was a trip full of history, activity and peace and The Henley Park Hotel was a significant and treasured part of it. Thank you~
