Beautiful hotel gone badPosted Jul 23, 2014
Upon our arrival we found hair in our room and the a/c leaked on the floor which caused my blanket to be wet and was not replaced by housekeeping when it should have been

Great location and super friendly staffPosted Jul 15, 2014
I booked this hotel at the last minute because my trip was extended and was pleasantly surprised. It is conveniently located in the Embassy Row neighborhood, within walking distance to the DuPont metro station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel for single travelers and families.

JUST THE JOB!Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: There are plenty of restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Went twice to Bistro Du Coin. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. This was definitely a find
Cons: The Nespresso Cube is a challenge
Location: Capitol/ free/ book 3 months before on the website River trip to Mount Vernon
We were in a group of 5 from the UK staying from 17-21 June 2014. The hotel is in a smart area near the embassies about 10 minutes walk north of Dupont Circle. There are 2 buses around the corner which go to Farragut West and Potomac Park so will deliver you to sightseeing favourites. Walk further past The Churchill Hotel and there is another stop outside a church where you can get a bus to Metro Centre which will allow to walk to other sights or transfer to the subway. Breakfast was continental and was fine. After a days sightseeing it was lovely to come in and sit in comfy chairs and have the free wine available between 5 and 6 pm. We were going on to New York. A BEST BUS leaves from Dupont Circle and goes to 40th St and Eighth Ave in New York. We were able to walk to our hotel at Times Square. It took 5 hours and cost $30 but we didn't have the time and expense of getting to airports or train stations and the transfers at the other end. You have to book early as this is very popular. After 4 days sightseeing we appreciated the enforced sitting down to recharge the batteries. If I went back to Washington I would definitely stay there again

An Alternative to more expensive hotelsPosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Great staff, clean rooms, location.
Cons: there seems to be a gap under the door that allows noise to travel from hallway to room....
Location: Lot's of dining options down Connecticut avenue. We should have gone to the National Zoo, only 1 mile away.....
Don't forget to add parking fees anywhere you stay in DC, call your hotel in advance for details. Here it was $40 (incl tax, PER DAY). Parking on the street is not an option unless you move your car every 2 hours........ Rooms are recently renovated, but very noisy - you hear everyone moving in the hallway. We were able to walk every where we needed to go, but the Smithsonian is ~2 miles away. If long walks are not good for you research public transport or you'll need to get your car from valet often.

Very happy with our stay!Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The rooms were small but beautifully styled. They managed to fit a lot of furniture in a small amount of space. Prices were reasonable and breakfast selection great. Service top notch - Nate checked us in and was super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there are no vending machines on the premises - CVS is only a few blocks away though so not a big deal

Very unique hotel, located about a ten minute walk from two metro stops- between Dupont Circle and the Zoo. Room was very clean. Staff was very friendly. They had free wine at happy hour and pretty stellar chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Would stay again.
