Mostly great

Location is central, facilities were clean and all that you would expect from a top notch hotel. But there was that little problem with room service. On more than one occasion it took forever for them to so much as pick up the phone, and even several attempts. To make it worse, it would take far too long for our order to arrive--once over a half hour for just a pot of coffee! To their credit, the hotel not only apologized for the lapse but gave a generous comp at checkout. With the hope that our room service experience was an outlier, we would highly recommend.

Great deal through Expedia. We stayed in the delux room that was beyond comfortable. The hotel was within walking distance to the national mall and great restaurant. With our reservation we had valet parking and an exceptional full breakfast! I will be returning !

I expected a nicer hotel for the amount we paid. Staff would at times ignore you.

I felt the hotel is true 5 star hotel. It is beautiful facility and location. Large room and wonderful bathroom. Very friend staff and an excellent restaurant. Only thing, I would like to have is a pair of comfortable slipper (clothe).

Great hotel, great staff, great for dogs

Great hotel, great staff, great for dogs loved the hotel in every way. The check in started well with champagne offered while you wait. Room was excellent and very quiet with lovely toiletries. Rate included breakfast which was delicious - we also had dinner which was lovely. Parking was very efficient and worth including in the rate if you can. Very dog friendly which is especially good since there is no charge.

Can't wait to "put on the Ritz" again!

We traveled to visit our daughter who lives in DC. This time we decided to "treat" ourselves to a stay at the Ritz-Carlton. And what a treat it was!! When we arrived we were greeted by no less than four different people who genuinely cared how our trip in was. We were then offered a hot towel and a bottle of water while we were checking in. The hotel is just gorgeous and the room one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. We only stayed two nights, but wish it could have been longer. Management should be commended on the quality of their employees. A classy, caring bunch. We had a wonderful surprise one night as we were leaving for dinner and asked for a cab. The lovely porter (whose name I wish I knew), provided us with the courtesy car instead. It was a wonderful treat with a wonderful, informative driver. We have decided that the Ritz will be the only hotel we will stay in when we visit DC in the future.
