Excellent hotel....exceptPosted Apr 6, 2015
Everything about the hotel Is excellent except that the whole week we were there, there was no hot water in the bathroom. The front desk said they were aware of the problem and would fix it as soon as possible

Very nice, near monuments.Posted Apr 3, 2015
Stayed one night at River Inn w/ family. The hotel itself is centrally located, 5 stops from Smithsonian on the Metro. We walked back from the Lincoln memorial which was a nice 15/20 walk. The room itself was clean and quiet. I would definitely return to River Inn.

Sweet, Welcoming Boutique Hotel near GeorgetownPosted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: Staff, location, neighborhood, bed, and in-hotel restaurant.
Cons: Vent fans in the bathrooms. I made coffee in my kitchenette with the whole beans and grinder provided, but the coffee beans were stale.
Location: Easy walk to Georgetown with tons of restaurants and shopping. Safe neighborhood, fun to explore on foot.
Charming hotel with exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms are large and clean, complete with equipped kitchenettes and walking distance from Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Dish, the hotel restaurant, is small but has a nice menu selection. Service was a tad slow, but adequate. Food was tasty and well presented. Comfortable bed, nice TV, and decent bathroom; however, with no vent fan the bathroom gets quite steamy. An easy walk to shopping and dining in Georgetown, and located in a safe, quaint neighborhood. I would stay again, and would recommend The River Inn.

Kitchenette is dated (not what the pictures show) but was great to have with kids. Walking distance to White House, national mall, memorials, Georgetown.

Great locationPosted Mar 30, 2015
Our family of five had a wonderful vacation! The proximity of The River Inn to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station (about 2 blocks)made our commute to all the DC sites so easy every day. We also enjoyed the 1 mile walk to the Lincoln Memorial a couple of times. It was great to have a kitchen of our own to make breakfast everyday! We would definitely stay here again.

well reccommended!Posted Mar 30, 2015
Location: Wholefoods was great to get snacks. Founding Farmers is a great restaurant!
Very spacious clean rooms. Made good use of gym and business centre. Excellent location (near foggy bottom station and georgetown). Staff were helpful when providing us with an extra night of accomodation due to flight cancellations. Did not appreciate doorman always pushing us to get a private car (instead of taxi) to visit places.

Get Location!Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: The location was perfect for us. A quiet neighborhood 2 blocks from the metro and within walking distance of Georgetown as well as the Mall.
Cons: We ran out of hot water a couple of times during our stay and getting the room temperature right proved challenging.
Location: Shopping, dining and sightseeing were all within walking distance. The metro station was 2 blocks away and the neighborhood was quiet.
My wife and I spent five nights at the River Inn and were very pleased overall. Our room was spacious and clean and even came with a little kitchenette. The staff was very helpful and were quick to respond to our needs.

Good location, room size and neighborhood.Posted Mar 24, 2015
Very nice hotel. Located between Capitol hill a Georgetown. Very close to GW University. Very nice neighborhood with its charm. Rooms are clean, hotel staff is very attentive, not a luxury hotel but it has all one needs. This was our second time at the River Inn and we would return any time. Nice bar and restaurant in the lobby area.
