Sitting on Laurels.

Unfortunately the hotel does not live up to its name and tradition. There is a great need to update or bring the polish and cleanliness back to the promise of its elegance. Very disappointed after a four nights stay. Would not return nor recommend.

Lobby was nice. Room had one light out, DVD was not connected to TV (no cable to connect), piece of trim around entertainment center was not painted and missing caulking.

Spontaneous trip to DC

Posted Apr 5, 2015
We decided last minute to go to DC. The St Regis was awesome! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The rooms were wonderful and very quiet. The hotel restaurant Decanter was exceptional! Don't miss the free champagne in the lobby to say goodbye to the day, an Astor tradition that the St Regis keeps alive.

Great hotel, beautiful rooms, fantastic service, convenient for business or sight seeing. Unusually good hotel restaurant with fresh and imaginative menu, attentive service, great wine list.

WDC

Pros: Great location and a very elegant feel.
Cons: Turn down, Butler service in the rooms.
Location: Your White HouseNational Geographic Museum. I
We give them a 4 although the room was very nice, there was very little shelf space in the bathroom and the turndown butler service did not come two nights in a row. We had to call to have the coffee replenished, bed turned down, etc

Not worth the money

Posted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
Rather disappointing. Splurged for what I hoped to be a really luxurious hotel and got a mediocre hotel. Lobby looked nice but rooms were just ok. Bed was hard. Lighting was poor. "Butler" service didn't respond timely on several request. Room service food was disappointing. Al toll. Stay was disappointing.

Great location close to the White House

Great experience overall. You pay for the history and location. Room was small but well equipped. Comfortable bed and pillows. Expected a little more for the price, but still had a great stay.
