Very nice hotel, walking distance to major sights

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, convenience to major sights, friendly staff.
Cons: Parking was very expensive! Would be nice to have a discount being a guest of the hotel.
Location: Location was convenient to Union Station for the metro, walking distance to the Capitol and the Washington Mall. Restaurants all around the hotel.
Great stay; wish it was longer. Walking distance to all major sights and restaurants. Staff was cordial and the room was very clean. Stayed on the 16th floor, view of Washington Monument.

Room did not look like advertised, Had a mildew smell in lobby, and I must say that it is not worth the price. Hilton is better hotel and way cheaper.

Excellent Accomodations in DC

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate. Everything worked perfectly.
Cons: Snack machines in the vending areas would be nice
Location: The hotel is a short walk from Union Station, making it very accessible to DC attractions. It is also a short walk from museums and restaurants
From check in to check out the Washington Court Hotel staff and facilities were superb! Check in was smooth; the room was bright, clean, inviting and comfortable. Vending machines were very reasonable.

Attended Conference

Posted Jul 14, 2014
I LOVED the hotel!!! Staff was so pleasant and helpful! A joy to be around! Tony, the bartender, was THE best I have ever experienced. Sam, the doorman, was always friendly and helpful. I hated to leave both of them. The food was amazing....and I was there for a conference. I never expected the food to be that great at an event. The workout room was more complete than many hotels. My only suggestion would be to put some soft pillows on the bed. My head felt like it had to climb a mountain to get onto it. Small suggestion overall. Can't wait to go back next July!!

OK

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: appearance, location. coffee maker in room. Always taxis out front and doormen.
Cons: use laundry detergent with the laundry. No fridge.
Location: about 5-10 minute walk to Smithsonian museums.
Hotel looks very nice, but more for business meetings. Don't bring your family here. Only 1 restaurant which was fancy and completely deserted our entire 3 day stay. There is no continental breakfast or even a café for a snack. No pool or amenities. There is a nice little bar and a small gift shop though. The room looked nice, but they need to change the burnt out bulbs and use laundry detergent. All the towels smelled like feet. Express TV checkout didn't work, but staff was friendly. My stay at the holiday inn express was better because I got free breakfast each day and a fridge.

Good place to stay near the National Mall

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Bed was very comfortable - hotel is in a great location for seeing the sites.
We stayed here for four nights during a long-weekend getaway to Washington. If you're there to see the Smithsonian and National Monuments, it's a great location. The hotel is clean and the room was lovely - clean and comfortable. Our only issue was that the location is pretty dead in terms of restaurants and stores, but that is true of the entire National Mall area. Also watch the price if you order room service...we paid $88 for two portions of wings and 4 bottles of beer!

LOTS of tips

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: It was very quiet and a wonderful location. BEAUTIFUL view of the capital. The café in the hotel has good food for a reasonable price.
Cons: For the price how about a refrigerator in the room.
Location: You are right by the US capital building and it is easy to get to and from the other DC sites. There is a Starbucks across the street.
Be prepared for the large amount of tipping at this hotel. If you have a car the valet has to go get it and park it every single time you come and/or go. If you have a good amount of luggage and need the rack to go to and/or from your room only the valet can get the rack and they don't want to leave it for you to load or unload. The employees are friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure if it the DC tv stations but most of the stations available at the hotel were pay to view with an average cost of $16 a movie.
