Great central location

Posted Apr 19, 2015
Overall I was disappointed! For $300 I expected a little bit more than a closet-size room next to an elevator shaft which kept me up for most of the night. The view of a dimly-lit back alley, the terrible pillows and the tiny, tiny bathroom made me feel that I was at an average $75 motel in an average town.

Handy to downtown Washington

Posted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Staff, location and services
Cons: Decor is a little dated.
Location: There are a lot of restaurants close by.And its an easy 10-15min stroll to the sights.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. The service was very good. The decor is a little dated but not off putting. The location is great, close to a lot of restaurants and a nice 10 min stroll to the sights.

Pros: The hotel staff was excellent. They were very focused to our needs. The hotel itself was extremely clean, well kept, and quiet, especially at night.
Location: Location was centrally located, with a 4 block walk to the closest Metro stations. Seemed very safe, with nice restaurants nearby.
Overall, the hotel was excellent. The only disappointing part of our stay was inability to connect, or stay connected to the hotel WiFi while in our room. If we used our electronics in the hotel lobby, the connection was excellent. We did report this to hotel front desk staff, but unfortunately, didn't do this until we checked out, and we really should have said something when we first discovered the internet connection problem - vs - waiting until our stay ended. I'm confident they would have looked into and tried to fix our situation if we would have mentioned it sooner.

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Remodelling all the rooms and facilities
Location: Central, about a 15 minute walk to the Washington monument
Hotel is fine, for the price the facilities and the design need a lift. The hotel from the outside looks impressive but once inside it is clear there has not been any remodelling in 10 years. The rooms are generally clean but small, not great when you have kids. Staff very nice and attentive and this is the redeeming feature if the hotel. It is also central to the main attractions.

The facilities need some help, but overall okay

We were told that we could self-park for 25.00 a day or valet park for 30. There were no spots after searching the entire parking garage, so we had to valet. The front desk staff was nice, but the room was incredibly small and the ice machine was useless on our floor.

Great Hotel

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Room cleanliness
Cons: The hotel restaurant
Location: CVS is close and was a life saver
Checking in was great. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The first night we had water and ice placed in our room which was nice but the next 2 nights none was left. We had a great view out our window. We had our car valet parked and we were only charged the one fee for our 3 night stay but we left it parked the whole time. I would have liked a hotel a little closer to a Metro station. On check out their wasn't a clerk at the desk. When he finally did come to the desk he seemed a little upset. I tried to ask questions about my bill and he was short with his answers and didn't smile and he made me feel as if I was bothering him. The rest of the staff was great and our experience was great. It was just on check out I just felt as if he didn't need to be nice because we were leaving. I would stay here again.

Just what I needed!

Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: I loved the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great - walking distance to everything.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Easy walk to the White House, 14th Street restaurant row, Whole Foods, 2 gelato shops! 4 blocks to metro -for everything else.
I spent the weekend hoping for the cherry blossoms to "pop". They didn't (too cold) but I had a nice hotel stay in DC. I walked everywhere and sat on my balcony with a glass of wine when I needed a break.
