Worth the money

Posted May 25, 2015
It's not a 5-star hotel, has no elevator, but I like it and it's neighborhood very much. 10 minutes walk to DuPont circle. Close enough to the major attractions. With this price, there is nothing I can complain about.

Älteres Hotel in Zentrumsnähe

Posted May 25, 2015

Great location, great price, Bad Hotel.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, but the room was tiny. You get what you pay for. The location is unbeatable(walking distance to Du Pont Circle).

worked for me

Pros: nice front yard patio.
i need a value hotel near dupont circle. this one worked mostly. phone didn't work. i told them to fix it after my stay. desk clerk had to come up and switch something on TV to get it to show the channels. if you are looking for plug-and-play, this may not be for you.

Posted May 7, 2015
Cons:

Safe Neighborhood

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location was great, staff was friendly. There is also a little fridge in the lobby incase you bring back leftovers.
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: The National Mall is just a bus or subway ride away, the Smithsonian, all of it is close enough to visit all day.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Inn. Jaime at the front desk gave us lots of good restaurant choices. Everyone at the desk was friendly whenever we walked in and out. We did not pay $5 for the continental breakfast so you will have to decide for yourself if you want to do that. Our room was downstairs but because it was spring, there were no issues with it being too cold. My only suggestion would be bring your own hangers our closet only had 4 and that was not enough for both of us. Also, at least once you should walk to the Dupont Circle subway station because you will walk down Embassy Row and the buildings have nice architecture. We mostly used the U Street Station and after the first couple times, we walked down another street besides U street and then walked up to U street and we found those streets to have less traffic both vehicle and pedestrian. We walked to and from subway stations at all times of the day and night and always felt safe. You may want to consider a bus pass (we purchased a 7-day unlimited subway pass and the smart trip card gave us $8.00 for the bus). There is a bus stop just up the street either direction and it goes to and from the National Mall. That translates to less walking (about 10 minutes one way) to a subway station.
