We were very impressed with the atmosphere and cleanliness. The room was very comfortable and welcoming and the kids loved their room. Being deep in the woods added to the country atmosphere. Our family loved it. The kids kept saying, "they really mean it when it says Stowed Cabins in the woods, they weren't lying!"

Great staff. Felt at home right away. Not 5 star but if thats what you want go elsewhere . Having said that, its clean , comfy and peaceful. Its such a beautiful place and we cooked on the grill everynight and made smors. Saw fireflies which was a treat for us.the stowe area is just magnificent.

Good, clean, basic family stylePosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Clean, great for a family.
Cons: Kitchen could be better equipped, but maybe these things get stolen.
Location: Just about 4 miles off Route 89, and about 5 miles to Stowe.
These cabins are great for a family looking for a suite of rooms including 2 private bedrooms, living and dining area, and very small kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy. Style is basic, a little dated, but everything was in perfect working order. Linens, towels provided. Bathroom was nice, shower/tub combo. Large box fan, and a heating unit in the main room. Kitchen has a tiny 4-burner elec. stove, microwave, Mr. Coffee, and full-sized fridge. Just enough flatware, dishes, glassware for 4 people. Pots and pans, utensils minimal. No soup/pasta pot. There is a charcoal grill, and deck for outdoor seating at each cabin. Woodsy, mossy setting. Well off the road, quiet. Dogs on leashes, OK.

Pros: The kitchenette and it was clean. Very quiet place to relax.
We like our experience. Nice place in the wood. Near the city of Stowe. We visited montpelllier and Burlington. Nice cabin with two rooms, kitchenette, a patio with chairs and a BBQ.

Definitely in the woods!Posted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: The solitude. It was quiet and relaxing.
Cons: The cabin smelled a little damp when we arrived, but the smell dissipated after we'd had the windows open a short while.
Location: The Old Hollow Cider Mill is great. Hit The Annex for shopping. Michael's on the Hill is fabulous for an elegant dinner. Stowe is nearby.
We had a lovely stay at Stowe Cabins in the Woods. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very adequate for our needs. It was really nice listening to the rain on the rooftop at night! The other cabins are close but not intrusive, parking is right in front of your cabin. The Wi-Fi worked great. I have a Verizon phone and couldn't get a signal there, but I just went to the end of the drive when I HAD to make a call. Otherwise not being interrupted was refreshing. I would definitely stay there again!

Peaceful, wonderful, exactly what we hoped forPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Quiet setting in woods, comfortable with all the amenities.
Cons: Fine as is. Maybe a covered screened porch to sit out at night.
Location: Market, gift shops, hiking trails, garden nursery all nearby
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. We travel with our 2 Golden Retrievers and this place was perfect. Close to town, yet away in the woods. Our cabin #2 was fully equipped and larger than i expected. Owners were very nice and helpful. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for a cabin in the woods experience. It is exactly that.

Cozy cabin in the woodsPosted Mar 11, 2013
Such a quiet and cozy atmosphere. My boyfriend and I had a great time alone relaxing by the fire and enjoying the books for the guests on the shelves. We also had our 13 & 16 year old nephews stay for a couple of nights and they too enjoyed the coziness of the cabin. It's close to Stowe which had many cute shops and just up the road from Ben & Jerry's. we dined at Michael's on the Hill right up the block which I would also recommend. We planned on staying 3 nights and ended up staying 4. Highly recommend for a relaxing long weekend.
