it was all right.

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: breakfast had good variety and plenty of different options
nice stay in quiet room. the ac/heater unit was a bit annoying but has remote control. kept getting either hot or cold. we had requested to have our room cleaned but it wasn't done. other than that, had good privacy and breakfast was great.

It was a nice hotel!!!

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: The staff and the room itself.
Cons: The pool size and the noise/echo - all sound bounces off the walls back into your ears.
Location: There a nice diner in front of the hotel. There is not much around the area.
The hotel was not bad at all. It was nice and better than expected. The staff was really nice and the breakfast was decent. It was clean and comfortable. My only MAJOR watch out is the pool. It's very small and if there is kids yelling you get the echo x3. The pool needs help with the noise - it is very very loud!

A viable low-cost option

Posted Nov 18, 2014
I was not impressed but, then again, I didn't spend very much either. The rooms are poorly lit with low power LEDs. It is difficult to see anything. There is nowhere to buy water and the vending machine steals your money. The staff does not seem to care that this is happening. There was an evening during which internet access was not provided. This is a big problem because Waterloo doesn't have very good cellular infrastructure. The hotel staff just said "someone's coming to fix it sometime tomorrow."

smelled smoky in hallways, but not in our rooms It was at the intersection of two major roads so easy to get out of town, but was not "in town"

Hotel needs major updating but for the price it was good. When booking room which was not with this hotel it was on line, Did NOT get the non smoking room which we were told we were getting. We ended up staying in a smoking room it really wasn't to bad. The staff was very friendly. OK continental breakfast.

Stayed for a funeral in the area.

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: It was close to where I needed to be.
Location: Only attended a funeral in the area.
The room was fine, but the stool didn't shut off completely, so it ran all night long. The breakfast bar was the normal type at most hotels/motels.
