Has fallen off

Pros: Parking was easy because no one was there.
Cons: Management
We stayed at this hotel six years ago and loved it. Now it is starting to get run down and I feel like it was poorly managed. The hot tub was not working, the lights in the pool only half of them worked, there were no towels by the pool, the breakfast was mediocre at best, etc, etc, etc. Everything seemed below par. I will not go back.

I apologize for your experience when you stayed at Wingate. I would like to inform you the hotel in under new management. The new company took over just a few months ago and have already made major changes to improve the property. We will be doing a complete remodel of the hotel this year, inside and out. I hope you will be willing to give us another try and come and see the "new" hotel later this year. Again I am truly sorry about your experience on your last stay.

Home-like and convenient

This is one of the nicest hotels in the Cedar Falls area. Convenient to new businesses, shopping, the college, and the airport. Very comfortable beds, decent breakfast, and love the cookie at check-in.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked and tasty. Their coffee was super yummy. We were disappointed that the whirlpool was out of order.

Preseason nationals stay in Cedar Falls

Excellent help from staff on a busy weekend in Cedar Falls. Tevin was awesome. Had a little trouble keeping the breakfast bar stocked with a hotel full of wrestlers who made weight the night before.

Not a great stay

Hot tub was still not working, ice machine was broken, pop machine was empty. My room was big but ceiling peeling and hanging down. I went to pool at 10pm and it was pitch dark in there and it was suppose to open until 12 am.

Thank you for filling out the survey. I must apologize for your experience during your visit. This is not the type of stay we want for our guests. All ice machines have been repaired. I have dealt with the outside agency that keeps our vending machines stocked to ensure we do not run out of product again. I have had a procedural meeting with my front desk to make sure the lights are on for the pool until midnight. We have been through all of our rooms to address cosmetic issues and they have been repaired. We have been really busy since your last stay. We hope you will give us a try again to meet your hotel needs on your next visit to the Cedar Falls area.

Very relaxing. Enjoyed the stay except the whirlpool wasn't working and two of the three ice machines were not working.

Nice to be close to the college Beautiful Hotel

Pros: How large it is and the breakfast and the cookies Staff were great
Cons: showers and air conditiioning in the rooms
Location: Close to the college and shopping and the interstate
Staff very nice and the breakfast was great and the location was great and very cleaned and safe
