Went during off season so town was very quiet and not many amenities open. Hotel was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, highly recommend!

The roof sounded like the metal was flapping all night in the wind. Otherwise great stay. The wine selection in the restaurant is awful… would like to see that improve.

Summer Town
Excellent hotel, just make sure you go during the busy season. The hotel clerk said Waterton was a summer town, and we went in November and NOTHING was open. Not even the gas station. They did have a restaurant in the hotel but it was only open after 5pm.

The exterior of the building is a bit dated but once inside the room we were impressed with the layout and how clean it was. There is no view of the lake from the hotel. We would go again.

Brought my wife and daughter here for a weekend getaway in the mountains. The hotel room was nicely finished and clean, but the hotel itself was a bit underwhelming given the price I paid, considering the other hotel(s) operating during the slow months (Oct-May). The bed wasn’t very comfortable and my wife left with considerable back pain. The hotel staff were generally friendly, except for one staff member in the restaurant who was acting rather condescending towards the other staff member, right in front of us; we felt that it was a bit inappropriate. Desk clerk upon checkout asked me to wait while he chatted with someone else about things that were not business related. The food was a bit overpriced for what you get, as well. I felt they could have also had some breakfast items out in the morning as there is otherwise nowhere to go for breakfast during the off months when many businesses are shut down. Nice enough hotel, but kinda overpriced. Not sure id stay there again if I came back to Waterton.

We had a lovely room. Gorgeous largely. Two things, though: we were unable to get the AC working--no instructions on how to get its remote to work, so the room was a little too warm. And, then in the morning we were unable to get the tv remote working. No instructions for it either. Neither was a big deal because we were able to open the window, and we didn't care about a tv set we weren't able to get going.

Our stay was during the last week before all the shops and the town would essentially shut down. The restaurant at the hotel was closed but there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance still open. Waterton is a quaint little town. Our room was quiet, had a good view, it was clean and everything worked. The heating is through the fireplace but we did not use it. You see deer walking freely in town. We only stayed one night and next day we explored the park and went on some hikes before heading off to Banff. They have had a wildflower and the surrounding mountains are mostly bare of trees. But it is still worth a visit and the town is by one of the largest lakes in the rockies.

Loft is cozy, spacious and cute. The bathrooms is huge. The washroom upstairs is a smart idea. The parking is at the back of the hotel. The alley was a little confusion at first. It is walking distance to restaurant and the marina plus the fall. No breakfast and hotel restaurant is closed for the season. The night shift male receptionist is friendly.

Spacious, clean and good location
We were greeted by Pat and Nick who were very friendly and helpful when checking in. The location is great for hiking in the area. Having a separate living area was nice to include a separate sink by the refrigerator and microwave.

Good, but could be better
The location of the hotel and the layout of the loft was great for our family trip. However, I was not impressed with a couple of things. A new AC unit must have been installed because the deck had debris (stucco, insulation etc.). When I called to have them clean it up, the fellow at the front desk seemed really annoyed that I phoned. I also noticed the room wasn’t cleaned that well. The coffee cups all had food bits at the bottom and the coffee machine had an old coffee bag from the previous guests.

I am deeply sorry for any misunderstanding that made you assume indifference in responding to your concern. Leaving the room in that condition after replacing the air conditioner was inexcusable, and was prioritized by housekeeping staff once they were made aware.
