No elevator and no bag help made for a rocky start. Best thing about it was good cable TV choices.

Pros: Location to transport.
Cons: Cleaning and servicing of rooms.
Location: Near restaurants and public transport.
Room servicing, cleaning, replenishing of coffee and tea making supplies below par. Near transport, near good restaurants, banks and shops.

Just a room

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Only hotel in Watertown, MA
Cons: Staff, bathroom.
Location: Only hotel in Watertown, MA
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom looked old-no ceiling fan, dirty tub. The room A/C was loud. Staff knocked on our door at 9 AM, checkout time was 11 AM. No reason for the interruption. Loud tenants in the hall all night. Our room was right next to the lobby, very loud. It's the only hotel in Watertown, MA, only block's from our son. We will be staying somewhere else on our next visit.

Was pleased with late checkin as we could not checkin until late. Would suggest bagels or English muffins available at breakfast.

Beware the basement rooms

Posted Jul 13, 2015
This Super8 is probably one of the cheapest places to stay that isn't too far from downtown Boston BUT beware! First they tried to stick us in a stinking basement room next to an ice machine that sounded like a jackhammer. When we refused this room we were put on the 2nd floor which was much better but the room was kind of grotty and the hotel felt quite unsafe and seemed to have really dodgy people staying there. Surprisingly the bed was quite comfortable and there was free parking and WiFi but that was the only positive. I would never stay there again. Staff were not overly friendly and we overheard some dispute between the cleaning staff and what was maybe her manager outside of our room. Most unpleasant.

Pros: Clean
Cons: The restuarant area is too small. Only two tables. I one case I was forced to take my food to my room because there is no space to sit down
General good experience . But The Hotel front desk staff really need to be more cheerful. Their body language does not encourage relationship. My interatcion with them does not give me any thing to look forward to for a repaeat visit.

Cheap Hotel Far from Downtown

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Staff was very nice, hotel is older and out dated. Breakfast could have been a little beefier with selections. Far from the city. Not on the subway! Bed was not too comfortable. Still a little pricey for what you get.

Functional

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: PRICE
Cons: basement rooms were damp and musty
Location: close to the Harvard campus
Our family utilized 3 rooms for this stay; and it is the most reasonably priced accommodations that is fairly close to the Harvard campus. The rooms were functional and however the basement rooms had a damp musty feel and odor. Water damage is very evident given the condition of the wall paint. The upstairs room was much better. The hotel staff at check-in was very accommodating in securing a handicapped accessible room for my elderly parents. I greatly appreciate this effort beyond measure and my parents were very pleased with their room. ( I truly regret not being able to recall him by name). The breakfast was minimal.
