Do NOT stay here!

This place is a dump. It reeks of cleaning chemicals, as if they've just cleaned up a crime scene, all day every day. Our room was "downstairs," which means in the basement. The bathroom door didn't have a closing mechanism in the knob, so the door didn't actually shut. The blinds don't lower enough to block out the street lamps just outside the windows at night, so we had to stuff a blanket in the window to block out the light. The t.v. picture is aligned incorrectly, so heads were cut off on most shows. This dump was worth less than half of what we paid.

Cons: Overpriced
Cleaning staff do not speak or write English. Left a sign on the door to expedite clean room and it was misunderstood as do not disturb... Oh well!!!

Closest Hotel to where my daughter lives

Pros: I liked when the price was lower than other motels in the area.
Cons: Staff could be much more friendly.
Location: Not much near by.
Staff wasn't too friendly. Need outlets in the bathrooms to put night lights.

Understanding staff of some special needs, but no elevator or ramps. Tasty breakfast! Efficient. Good location to services, great restaurants. Easy access to downtown Boston. Musty a/c.

Location: I stayed here because of business.
The location was perfect for what I needed and that is about all the positive statements I have to offer. There was no night table with light, the bedding was old, the lock on the door was not much, the windows on the ground floor could be a wonderful invitation for an unwanted guest and on and on. I did not feel safe nor did I feel clean. The staff did not appear to like their job and did not even pretend about that.

Lousy service and bad attitude

Due to my late arrival, I had to check in at 11pm. The hotel staff (Indian Lady) at that time chatting and doesn't seem please to attend to me. As I was really tired from the long drive and didn't heard clearly that she asked for my credit card and ID and asked her nicely to repeat what she said. Her attitude was bad, she was unfriendly and impatient to repeat her question. After she checked me in, she didn't even bothered to direct me to the room even though I was lugging my luggage around looking for the room. Then a guest who was at the counter was kind enough to tell me that the room is on the upper floor and I needed to take the stairs at the entrance. I paid $150 for the room and I do not think I deserved that level of service. In many places, that amount can easily get a four star hotel with better services. I have been to other low cost hotels such as Comfort Inn and Best Western, they do a much better job. Definitely will not book with Super 8 again.

You get what you pay for

Pros: Reasonable rate and free wi-fi (not always reliable), decent starter breakfast, and located close to bus line.
Cons: Everything from the exterior to the interior.
Location: Close to bus line that takes you to Harvard Square, take the 70 and then the 66 which leaves you right by the main gate.
Overall, the hotel itself is OK, but the rooms could be cleaner. Do not walk barefoot on the carpet or in the bathroom, and don't expect peace & quiet.This could be a great little hotel if the owners would invest in a few upgrades and maintenance.

Pros: Breakfast was acceptable and it was right at a bus stop. Very big plus!!!!
Cons: Definitely the room and linen cleanliness.
Location: Wild Willy's Burgers was very good. Panera's was in walking distance. Bus line to anywhere and felt safe. A lot of places do not take American Express
We had expected an inexpensive hotel that just was a bed and possible breakfast. It was that. The more lights we turned on through the more dirt we could see. There were stains on all linens, dust on the head boards and something sticky on the night stand. We are not picky but this was beyond even our ability to overlook.

Inexpensive near Boston, but needs to be updated

Staff was helpful, but the rooms are old and not in good repair. Sink base was wrapped in masking tape. No fan in bathroom - mildew was visible on ceiling above bathtub. Walls had been recently painted, but not repaired. Room seemed to be clean enough. Nothing is handicapped accessible, no elevator, bathroom door very narrow. Site is close to public bus transportation, so we were able to use bus to get to Fenway Park. This was the reason for choosing this hotel, also we did not want to spend a lot just to see a few games at Fenway. If you are just looking for a cheap place to sleep near Boston and you aren't too fussy, this will work.
