Very quiet rooms. We had a poolside room, but really didn't hear much from the pool. Older hotel, but maintained fairly well. All in all, a good value.

Thank you for completing the on-line survey regarding your recent stay. We take these comments very seriously, and we obviously missed the mark regarding your stay. We are researching what happened, as we certainly do not expect our guests to handle our key lock issues, and we will also review with our staff all other issues you brought up. We certainly hope you will give us another chance in the future.

Not fancy, but adequate

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: When we asked for a roll away bed, the staff was very nice and brought one as soon as they could.
Cons: The hot tub was a warm tub and breakfast was cold cereal, donuts, milk and juice. Protein other than peanut butter would be nice due to peanut allergy
Location: Try out the Wausau Mine Co. restaurant. It's a fun location to eat at!
The hotel was satisfactory. The staff was pleasant, beds were comfortable and the little kid pool was great for our 4 year old.

Over priced and very noisy

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Convenience to the hospital - the reason for my visit.
Cons: A little common sense in room placement would have been nice
Location: Hospital about a mile away
A 5 night stay that included a weekend. The advertised restruant turned out to be a couple of tables in the bar. The continental Breakfast was doughnuts and coffee. Very few others in the hotel for my first couple of nights and hotel put me way at the rear adjacent to their indoor pool. He weekend saw 17 boys basketball teams of 8 to 12 year olds check in. Good kids but they stayed I the pool until nearly midnight. Sounded like they were playing in my room. I actually had to turn the TV up to full volume to hear it. Had the hotel put me nearer the front or in their tower all would have been fine (and the tower remained nearly empty during my stay).

Throw back

If you want a hotel reminiscent of 1993, this is your place. Pool parties, floral prints, large murals. But with the leaky ceilings, stained carpeting, icy doorways and a nearly incomprehensible layout, the place is due for serious gutting.

Good for the price.

Pros: The pools. The open areas to eat and for the kids to run around.
Cons: Maintenance!!!
Location: Many shopping areas, the downtown was nice- we went to a Clay place and painted ceramics. Nice craft.
Got a pool side (close anyway) room. Pools were fantastic. The area around the pool however, could really use work. I wouldn't even have noticed if it hadn't been for a bucket sitting in the middle of the floor. When I noticed it had water dripping into it, I looked up to see the ceiling falling apart. Black mold near the skylights. Carpet dark. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. It got better Monday, which I found strange. The bathtub in our room- we couldn't actually have a BATH in it. I had to place a coffee cup over the drain so my 3 year old could have a bath. I couldn't give him a shower because the showerhead was wicked. The arcade was stealing all the kids' money on the games. The phone in our room was not the correct phone- had a completely different room number on it. We only had 2 towels, I had to ask housekeeping for more.

Never Again!

Posted Feb 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
I booked a room for 2 adults and 3 teens. We had a room that was barely big enough for 3 people. We were supposed to have a roll-away, but the hotel didn't have it available for us. Even if they had, there literally was absolutely no space that would have fit a roll-away. One of the queen beds was against a wall, so we couldn't walk on both sides of it. My son had to sleep on the floor under the sink/vanity as that was the only floor space that was large enough for his 4'6" body to fit and wasn't a walk-way where he would be stepped on by those getting in or out of bed. The bathroom was TINY, and since we had to change in there, completely inadequate. The floor space that we had to stand in to change clothes was about 2' x 2'6" - and we had to get ready for a wedding in that tiny space. When we asked the front desk for a larger room, we were told we had the largest room. This should not be rated as a room for 5 people! Also, the heat shut off at night, so we all froze. Walls were so thin we could hear people in the hallway even when they were trying to be quiet. This was the worst hotel my family has ever stayed at.

I would like to thank you for sharing with us the issues you had with your recent stay. We obviously missed completely regarding your stay as we really do try to help our guests to ensure they are comfortable when staying with us. We are researching this issue to see what happened and to see what we could do to make it better. We certainly do not want this to happen again. We do have larger rooms and lovely suites available at higher rates, but we need to understand what room type you had and what happened through each step of this. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you again.

Outdated but clean

Posted Feb 2, 2015
The hotel was outdated but everything was well kept and the staff were friendly. Free breakfast wasn't very good. Kids enjoyed the pool and it was convienently located for skiing and the wrestling tournament we were in town for.
