BAD place to stay

Location: location is good and that is the only thing good
Our stay with you was a horrible experience. We arrived and checked in. The room looked like it had been used and not cleaned properly. I asked the front desk to give us another room.We found that the chairs were absolutely FILTHY, like someone had puked on them. Later we went out to come to a picture that had fallen and broke the glass all over the floor. We called for help and a worker came up and told us that the vacuum cleaner had broke and they could not clean it up. Wow only one vacuum for that huge hotel. What a joke. Then she said the manager wants you to move to another room for safety reasons. After being there for two days. We were so upset. She was alone in that hotel to take care of all the problems. NOT RIGHT AT ALL! Finely we move and I might say that my good friend is disabled walks with two canes and moving us around is not a pleasant experience. We are both 72 years of age and I have a heart condition as well. So now we move into 215 my friend Albert L goes to sit on a chair and the back of the chair falls off. He hurt his back as well. At that point we are totally upset and ready to leave but we are were going to check out the next day so we stayed. At checkout I asked the front desk to simply look at my bill to see what was the bottom line costs were. He said OH NO we can't do that, you booked the room through Expedia and you cannot see the bill, they will send it by mail.

Although the Comfort In in Welland provided a great location for my stay, the facility itself was dirty, the housekeeping service was very poor, there is no elevator in the hotel making it difficult for guests on the 2nd floor to carry luggage and the added guests in my room (flies) were not welcome at all.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Needs an reno. Paint and wallpaper peeling off. Furniture dated, stained.
Smelled moldy - needed AC on at full blast to help with humidity. Dirty carpets, loveseat - wouldn't take my shoes off to walk on carpet. Stained bed covers - but the sheets and towels were clean. Non-smoking rooms were mixed with the smoking rooms, so smoke was prevalent throughout the halls and if you had a non-smoking room beside a smoking room. Would definitely not stay at any Comfort Inn in the future based on this experience.

Would not go back

Chose this hotel as a more reasonably priced option for seeing Niagara Falls. I had higher expectations of a Comfort Inn. The cleaner/chemical smell was so strong it gave me a headache and left me feeling sick within minutes, the outer doors had signs of being broken in to, the room they gave us initially had not been cleaned (they gave us a new room), the drive to Niagara is not too far, but it includes going over a draw-bridge, which is cool to see, but does add extra time to the commute and it was up every time we came to it.

Thought Comfort Inn had a better standard!

Pros: Not too much.
Cons: The cleanliness and how tired it looks. It is sitting adjacent to a swany Toyota company and looks so drab next to lots of shiny, beautiful new cars.
Location: We were just driving through, having previously visited and seen the Welland canal. But it's only half an hour from Buffalo with tons to do.
My mother and I visited Welland last week and stayed at this Inn. On driving in, we immediately noticed lots of papers and small garbage strewn in the parking lot. The only garbage can near one of the doors was so full, people were piling their garbage around it. It was hard to get past that and think of checking in but 24 cancellation notice would apply. The outside is generally a good indication of what is inside. One of the side doors had a huge window broken with no tape or note indicating it would be fixed. These are things that people do not want to associate a good stay with. When I asked the front desk if the pillows and duvet were down filled (as I am allergic), she said she did not know. I took that to mean she did not care. I requested the maid to give me an extra sheet and blanket which she willingly did. There was a lot of noise and door banging but I guess I cannot fault the hotel for that. Breakfast was good. It was supposed to be continental but there were enough choices. We intended to stay for two nights but checked out after the first. I will not be going back to this location.

It was not good. The room was not clean as expected. Musty smell.
