Modern and well appointed in good location.

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: Concierge very helpful; modern and contemporary.
Cons: Information about the difference in types of room. More wardrobe space and drawer space.
Location: Matterhorn restaurant rated very highly - take a torch with you. Check opening times. Macbrew bar great location on waterfront and free sun cream.
Good location, in walking distance from restaurants, bars, shops and waterfront. Modern and well appointed, although standard bedrooms are small. The walk down from botanic gardens ends right next to hotel. Standard room are small without storage space for clothes; we were offered an upgrade, but it was not made clear what the difference would be.

City stay in Wellington

Great location! Staff were good, room smaller than expected. Rather than the usual info book it is all on an iPad mini, looks like alarm clock. Gym could do with a second treadmill.

Nice Central Location

Posted Mar 12, 2014
Cons: Our room was rather small and had almost no hanging space in the closet but was otherwise well appointed.
The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance to the Parliament or Westpac Stadium and slightly longer walks to the Wellington Cable Car and Waterfront area (Te Papa Museum).

Lovely hotel, in a good location.

Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, facilities
Cons: N/a
Location: Te Papa museum, waterfront, great places to eat.
Luxurious suite with everything you can think of provided, excellent service form the friendly staff. Restaurant and bar prices reasonable, in fact, if you compare the tariff with UK City hotels, the whole thing was extremely good value for money.

Lovely large room - was a decent size suite, beautifully furnished. They provide an iPad in the room! Good location; handy for cable car, botanic gardens & parliament. I recommend the excellent Chameleon Restaurant - don't be put off by the fact it is in the Intercontinental Hotel.
