Perfect for a Wellington City Trip.

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: The hotel room is quite comfortable, the breakfast area provides with everything required and the staff are extremely helpful.
Cons: Due to the Easter holdidays, they were probably a bit understaffed, but we had the impression that the cleaning sessions in the room were 'shortened'.
Location: The location lookds a bit 'out of CBD reach, but the hotel lift takes you straight from the lobby/restaurant to the bustling shopping streets !
We had a great Easter long weekend in Wellington, a place well worth visiting. We included the 2-hour hop-on, hop-off bus which gives an excellent overview, the cable train, a day trip to Martinborough (wine region) and of course the famous Te Papa museum plus plenty of walks. Shops were closed on the public holidays which gave the city a very relaxed atmosphere.

Very nice stay. Only gripe would be that the kitchen was severely understaffed. We booked a table for 7.30. At 8pm they finally came to take our order but told us at that point the meal would take at least an hour. We then decided to eat elsewhere. If we had been told at point of booking the table or at being seated it would have been a nicer experience. Other than that a very nice and friendly hotel.

Very happy with our stay

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: location, friendly staff, top breakfast,
Location: close to the shopping, museums, etc
Located near the Lampton Quay bus stop, our journey on the airport flyer bus was almost to the front door. Access to the hotel is via a lift inside the arcade opposite the bust stop. Our stay was a comfortable one, the staff were great and the breakfast superb.

Heavenly bed

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable bed - pity I only had a few hours. Also liked the 11am checkout. Other NZ hotels should take note.
The only issue I had was that the room was quite cold - as I worked till the early hours I didn't notice the room temperature was set so cold. After shivering for a while got up and found the aircon was actually off. Perhaps it should be on a checklist to ensure it is on for guests arriving. Best not to be located near lifts as you do hear it clunk

Great hotel that is modern, clean, and has a great location. Walkable to cuba street and a lot of great restaurants. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the quality was very good.

Central City with Wonderful Sea views

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Central location and views
Cons: Hard to find anything to improve on.
Location: Close to Gardens and shopping with the CBD within 5 minutes walk
Greated by very friendly and helpful staff despite early arrival. The reception staff had lots of great suggestions on how we could fill in time before checking in that morning eg. Giving directions of nice walks to the Gardens and of course the short cut to the central CBD which was very handy being new to Wellington. The restaurant had great food and the room service was second to none. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.
