“Pleasant and convenient”
Located on the Cuba Street Mall -- a slightly scruffy, but perfectly safe, and very central, location. Easy walking distance to all the sights. *Very* nice rooms. Studio apartment style rooms with full -- and fully equipped -- kitchenette facilities. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
“Great value, Great location, Great hotel!!”
This is an excellent hotel and amazing value for money. The room was spacious and clean, with lovely up-to-date furnishing. There was a kitchenette - great for cooking or just making tea and snacks. The location was perfect, right on Cuba Street in the middle of all the action. The only things we didn't like was the over-chlorinated pool, the rather brusque reception staff, and the parking fee.
“Great for hipsters, not for pool, spa, gym, or internet”
Extrememly average. In a great location for the more trendy part of town, Cuba Street. The front and back door pop you right onto the street where there is shopping & restaurants. Parking is an issue, you have to pay to park in their either very small lot on the ground floor or the roof. Otherwise you have to pay at meters on the street where they are very quick to write a ticket. Internet is not free and you must pay by the megabite, like anyone knows how many megabites they are using??? You pay upfront at the desk and then the computer will shut down on you when you run out. Using their 3 computers downstairs isnt much different in cost. The hotel seemed old, the rooms were clean and had everything you would need for cooking including dishes, sink, fridge, microwave, and stove. It is a young part of town and the "kids" stay up late, so expect noisy neighbors because the hotel is surrounded by high rise apartments that are very open with patios. fitness center is pathetic, one guy was in there sweating up the whole tiny place and i had no desire to go work out with him. A treadmill rower and one pair of dumbells. Pool smelled over-chlorinated and the spa looked pretty gross. So overall, if you want a decent hotel for the money in the hip part of town and arent looking to use the internet, pool, spa, or fitness center then this is the place for you. It would be perfect for going down to the grocery and making your own meals, bar hopping and shopping if you are under 30.
