Nice hotel

Posted Jul 28, 2015
No sign posting we couldn't find the entrance. It's across the road from the car parking. Good breakfast. Small rooms very old and run down.

Great value

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Great staff at reception, good sized room, clean.
Cons: Water took a long time to get hot for shower.
Great room (5th floor) and location. Spacious room, quiet, even though it was close to busy roads. Great view over city to harbour.

Whatch what you pay for !

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Clean
Cons: Vents in the rooms as when you have a shower the room fills with steam ( the windows don't open )
Location: Centrally located
Payed extra for parking ,wifi and breakfast but the wifi is only in one room downstairs and the parking is free anyway on a first come first served basis . So same yourself some money and book room only . The hot breakfast is bacon and beans ( lukewarm) and the slopyest scrambled eggs Ive ever seen.

Convenient and close to restaurants

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Convenience and comfort.
Cons: No sign.
Location: Central Wellington, walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Wanted a hotel near the airport, it was a good choice, even if a little difficult to find, they do not have a sign!

Very good value for money, dated but clean.

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Great price, quiet, and clean.
Cons: Spruce up the corridors to make them look less hospital like.
Location: Location is easy to get on and off the motorway. Only a $10 taxi ride from the centre of town.
The check in staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I turned up to the wrong hotel, they were able to direct me to the right location. The ambience as you walk through the corridors is very dated and a little cramped but the room was clean and tidy. It had all the essentials you can require.

Pros: Room was nice enough. Staff were friendly.
Cons: Overall upgrade eg carpet wearing thin. Frontage - could not see from street - quite hard to find. not inviting.
Location: Close to Cuba Street :)
Nice room, comfy bed, facilities were fine. Could not find the hotel initially as there was no sign (the name of the hotel had changed...?). Breakfast was good. The overall facilities though could do with a bit of an upgrade. Would stay again as the price was right, close enough to the city.

Within walking distance to city

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: the rooms are big
Cons: need to supply better quality pillows! they are as flat as a pancake! the furniture is very budget and falling apart-chairs in restaurant are torn
Location: only a 10 minute walk to the city
Arrived at 4.00pm to find the room not even ready, not impressed, had to wait 15 minutes for the room to be cleaned! Rooms are serviced in the afternoon, had to leave for 10 minutes in the afternoon twice so the room could be cleaned and then its pretty much just make the bed and change the towels. Had to get 2 more pillows as they are so thin you might as well not have one. Breakfast is ok, but feels a bit uncomfortable having someone watch you eat so they can take your plate away. Appreciate the service but not to the extent that you are stared at the whole time. Not a 4 or 5 star hotel so you get what you pay for. First in first served for the car park, a very tight squeeze if you have a big car.

Dinner options

Posted May 21, 2015
The breakfast provided a good range in options, from muesli through to a cooked breakfast. As I was only staying one night for business (and that night had incredibly bad weather) I would have welcomed options for an evening snack/light dinner.
