“May have to look into Vacation International”

Despite the construction going on next door, we loved the hotel and our room! The service was excellent, they even kept our leftovers in the fridge until we were ready to head for home. The bed was amazing, I wanted to take it home. The shower and bathroom were large and inviting. Great stay!

“My aching back.”

Walking through the door entering our room at Blackbird Inn everything looked delightful. And to our surprise--a private lanai! But then came bedtime. Ugh! The mattress was very hard and slanted to one side. To be able to stay on the bed my husband stuffed the extra bed pillows under the sheet along the edge of the mattress. There were no instructions telling how to work the DVD player and no one available at the front desk to help. Fifteen minutes of fumbling through key pads and several expletives later the movie began. Why? How? Who knows. This was a minor annoyance. The air conditioner is inside the room and runs very loud. The good news is there is air conditioning. We will definitely return to Blackbird Inn when the rooms are furnished with new quality mattresses. The location is excellent.

“Great Bavarian weekend”

Blackbird Lodge is right in the middle of Leavenworth with its own parking lot. Decent size room with fireplace, flat screen TV, deck and waffle breakfast. Nice room and quiet. Beautiful view from our balcony of the Wenatchee River and the Cascades. Kayakers going by and people jumping from the overpass into the river. Nice walking trail nearby. Great fun. Close to everything!

“Not what we were expecting”

Blackbird Lodge is a Timeshare property. This is not listed on the website and so there is no indication this is not a regular hotel. They do not offer maid service unless you are staying 9 nights or longer. You will not receive additional toweles unless you wash the ones you have by using their laundry facilities or rent more from them. Not satisfied with the stay, especially not knowing the terms.

“Not Impressed”

The hotel did not honor requests to get more towels or other miscellaneous requests about concerns with the room. Basically the hotel staff ignored us while we were there.

“Watch out for the Blackbird”

We didn't have any maid service - it is not provided with the room. They are a timeshare that allows hotel guests, but don't advertise that until you get there. There is nobody at the desk after 6 pm. Way overpriced for the service and the room provided. Pass conditions were terrible and they wouldn't offer a refund if we couldn't get to the hotel.

“Not Impressed”

Surprised their was no maid service. Took forever to get check-in. Breakfast did not start until 8:00. Was very disappointed from the last I had stayed there.

“Skip it”

I have never spent this much on a hotel and had to take out my own trash. The site said rooms had a view of the river but the only view we had from our tiny window was of the hospital across the street. There was one tiny bar of soap in the shower and one tiny bottle of shampoo, no conditioner and both were harsh and cheap. We received a note on our door telling us to take out the trash and clean the dishes in the dishwasher before we left. Only there was no dishwasher. On the way to the elevator on the first floor was a big hole in the wall with a garbage bag taped over it. There was no parking lot as indicated on the site and there was construction on two sides of the building. Breakfast was disappointing. Waffles if you want to wait in line or instant oatmeal or an overly sugary fruit cup. They do have coffee if you don't want to have to wash the dishes for making it in your room. The bed and pillows are also uncomfortable and the linens are rough. They have awards for their service hung at the desk but this is because they hand you a pre- filled out comment card at check out and then stand there and watch you fill it out. There are too many other options for us to ever give this place another dollar of our money.
