Horrid

Posted Jan 23, 2015
I was in my hotel at 11pm just talking with 2 other friends, no drinking no partying. And the front desk lady knocked on the door and said if we don't quite down we will be fined 100$ for being loud? Umm no. We are well reserved and this is ridiculous.

Just nasty

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Its in Leavenworth
Cons: Tones.. start with cleaning.
Location: Wine tasting, shopping, site seeing.
The room was somewhat clean but the heater/air conditioner was so loud that we had a very hard time sleeping. The fridge smelled bad. The walls are very thin and we could hear others on all sides of us. The bed was close to the window with the noisy heater way in the back so it was just not comfortable. The next morning when we went for breakfast, the stairs leading up smelled like a garbage dump with trails of stains on the floor and stairs. Pretty hard on the appetite. The sausage was overly dry on top and bloated on bottom. Eggs were watery, and the waffle maker was so messy. Then it was hard to find a clean place to sit.

Very good continental breakfast.

Posted Jan 13, 2015
The breakfast was the best I've ever had from any place. Nice pool, comfortable bed. The view of the hills is nice when you walk out the door. It is also very close to town. You can walk there easily. There's a delicious pizza place right next to the parking lot. Safeway is a short drive away along with Starbucks and gas stations. The gym only had an elliptical and treadmill in it though. The room could have been shined up and cleaned more. You can tell it's a pretty old hotel. I would stay there again.

Rooms need deep clean!

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Cleanliness of the rooms.
Hotel staff and location was good. However, the room needed deep cleaning. You could tell that things were never dusted or wiped. I had tons of hair on my pillows and requested some new pillowcases to change them. The new ones had the same "hair" problem. I ended up putting some of my T-shirts on top of the pillows and sleep that way. The coffee maker didn't work as well. Overall, If you stay there for only one night, as I did, you will be OK. But If you are planning to spend more time in the Hotel, please look for another one. I understand that the room price is cheap, but asking for clean room should not be considered a luxury.

Second stay - second good vacation

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: HUGE: they allow pets (up to 2 per room), and, unlike some others, they do not prohibit you from leaving them in the room (if you go out to dinner)
Cons: There might be time for some cosmetic upgrade - the place is old and shows natural wear and tear. Parking spots are tiny and cause damage.
Location: Within walking distance of Downtown Leavenworth, all the restaurants, shops and wine tasting rooms. GREAT spot for New Year adventure in the snow.
We have given Fairbridge repeat business after our New Year's stay two years ago, and did not regret this. We started off by being dazzled by the front desk staff, who made an exception and placed us in a king-size bed top floor unit, even though we failed to notify them in advance that we are traveling with our two small dogs (normally they would have placed us downstairs). I honestly think that top floor rooms are a little better. Even though this is definitely an older hotel with some wear and tear showing, our room was clean, huge bed comfortable, and shower clean. Breakfast was hearty and outstanding - exactly what you want on frosty snowy weather: lots of scrambled eggs, fatty sausage, busquits and gravy. For those health nuts who prefer staying slim rather than warm, they had yogurt, fruit, lean cereals and fat-free milk. Ooh, and the waffle station with fresh strawberries! There has been a fire alarm outage that startled us all (and dogs ran hiding under the bed) when the darn thing chirped like a bird from Hell. The staff responded almost immediately, dispatching someone to the room within 10 minutes, checking the alarm and assuring us there will be no more problem (turns out fire alarms are on central electric switch, which blew thanks to our neighbors). Incident was resolved impressively quickly and with a lot of courtesy. Overall, this hotel is a great choice who wants to stay within walking distance of all Leavenworth attractions.

Great location, decent facilities

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Location, price, breakfast food, service.
Cons: Noise, asthetics, flow of the breakfast service, coffee
Location: We enjoyed the short, scenic walk into the heart of Leavenworth- lights, restaurants, gift shops, and sledding at the park. It was perfect!
The price is great, the complimentary breakfast is nice (kids loved the make-your-own waffle bar), and the location to town is fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive. Views of the houses behind the hotel are easy to get past when you look up to the snowy hills all around you. We stayed on the third floor, two queen beds. I heard these rooms in this part of the hotel are the newest. The rooms are slightly run-down (small crack in our sink, slow-drain in the shower) but clean. The road noise is noticeable (bring ear plugs) and the room breakfast is served in gets very warm and crowded. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked nice. Don't expect a 5-star hotel. This is a good value for the price. We had a great time on our little family get-away to Leavenworth.

Hotel just okay

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: heated indoor pool
Cons: sound proofing, more detailed cleaning, and recycling. This hotel did not recycle which was disappointing.
Location: Beautiful scenery, shopping and dining.
Staff were very nice, breakfast was average. Kids loved the pool and that made the visit. Room was clean enough but could have been cleaner if I looked closely. The most disappointing point was how loud it was. Road noise as well as neighbors was tough to get used to. No fault of the hotel, just part of the deal with this type of hotel in this location.

Accommodating and quaint

Posted Dec 16, 2014
I was worried that since it was a small resort town that there would be no late check in but to my surprise there was. I loved how the hotel was so quaint. The rooms were nice and clean.

poor condition

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was very nice and plenty to eat.
Room was not ready on time, smelled, poor condition, needed thorough cleaning. Looked like just the center of the room was cleaned. We requested a ground floor room but had to wait until after 4 for them to clean one. I had been calling since noon and was told room should be available shortly. Offered an upstairs room but due to disabled husband we needed the first floor, that is why we requested it when booking.
