A Bit Outdated, But Still Friendly

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Without talking remodel, the maintenance for the jacuzzi could have been improved.
This is a small older hotel. It has an indoor heated pool, a jacuzzi, and a steam room. The jacuzzi lacked water circulation, and bubbles. It also had a nasty foam build up, indicating lack of maintenance. The pool was acceptable, and kid friendly. It peaked at roughly 4 ft in height. The rooms themselves were tiny, somewhat crammed. Lighting not too bright, and the walls somewhat dim. I could hear the folks in the room next door chatting. I was traveling with kids so I'm glad the next door sounds weren't too inappropriate. However, the major down side is that a train runs behind the hotel, and if you're a light sleeper, you will hear it. And I mean that literally...it wakes you. My wife did not sleep for her entire stay. Had I known this alone, I would not have stayed here. We stayed for two nights and on both nights she was not able to sleep. One last note...the bathroom drain was slow...i mean really really slow.

Pros: Was nicely surprised to have hot drinks and cookies available at the lobby and appreciate the selection for breakfast. The staff was great.
A few hours to get to it, but the experience was worth it.

Pros: Just 30 minutes to Leavenworth, WA.
Location: Watched the Christmas Lighting event at Leavenworth, WA.
It was okay but the breakfast area was small and not much food.
