“Sleeping Lady is lovely, relaxing, and the grounds are beautiful”
Set on old camp grounds in a gorgeous location several miles from downtown Leavenworth , you really get that 'camp' flavor. If camps were luxury, that is. The Kingfisher dining hall has an unbelievable selection of food, and pays special attention to the needs of people with food allergies. The gluten free section was truly impressive. There were meat, fish, and vegan entrees, too. Meals weren't included with my expedia package. Dinner was 39 per person when I went, soup to nuts, and worth every penny. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are quiet and the hot tub and pool were outdoor, saltwater, and great. Perhaps because of the 'camp' feel, everyone you meet seems extremely friendly. I had spa services after running the half marathon and they were great. Free shuttle to Oktoberfest downtown was a party celebration in itself. Sitting near the outdoor fire, listening to the waterfall, and relaxing outside of O'Grady's bar was terrific, too.
