West Columbus, Columbus Hotels
Franklinton, sometimes known as the Bottoms, is the neighborhood immediately west of downtown. This part of Columbus gets its nickname because much of the land here is below the level of the city's Scioto and Olentangy rivers, and a floodwall is required to contain the rivers to protect the area against floods.
