"Nice hotel in a very good location."
The hotel is in really a great location. Upon arrival we were very nicely surprised that because we booked it thru Expedia our amenities were included. Thank you Expedia. Our room was very small with not much room for luggage. However, we knew that while booking so that was expected. We spend there only one night and are very satisfied. It was very convenient to be able to store our luggage, for a small fee per bag, while we were sightseeing. I would also like to mention that Airline bus 100 from the airport stops only a few yards away from the hotel. The staff was super nice and very helpful. Thank you.

"Good hotel near heart of Edinburgh"
The Thistle Hotel in Edinburgh is located in the New Town, in a typical Georgian house. We stayed in room 24 (2 double bed) which was very spacious with high ceiling. The room was clean with TV and hairdryer (which was a bit on a small size and overheated if used more than few minutes a go).The bathroom is quite small with a shower (with free dispenser of shampoo, hand wash and shower gel) and would benefit from more shelves and a mixer tap. There's no lift but the staircase is big and airy enough so you're not feeling you have to rush up the stairs. As well there are a lot of drawings and paintings of Scotland you can admire on your way to your room. The room was a bit noisy as the cars need to take a detour in front of the hotel (due to the work done, few streets away, for the tram). The continental breakfast consists of tea or coffee, croissants, toasts with choice of jams, marmelades and butter, fruit salad (nice and fresh), cereals (cornflakes, branflakes, etc) and fruit yogurt. The staff is happy to bring you more toasts if you want to.The staff is very friendly and always helpful. the hotel is 10 min walk from the heart of Edinburgh (Princes Street) so very convenient. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

"An excellent stay in Edinburgh"
This was a reservation that I made for our daughter, who is attending university in Scotland as part of an exchange program. She was delighted with every aspect of her stay. The staff, the food, the accommodation, and the location were all excellent. She can't wait to return there.

"Weekend Break"
Had a great 2 night stay at The Bonham staff were all friendly attentive and courteous. Had the afternoon tea in the hotel that was very good and an indulgent treat. Breakfast was excellent particularly the smoked salmon the room was well appointed and one of the more comfortable hotel beds I've slept in giving good back support without being to firm. Also choose the hotel as it had car parking which is situated at the back of the hotel (you are as well to ask at reception for guidance). The only thing was that there is some double parking other users handed in their cars to allow the hotel staff to move cars for you to gain an exit. Overall very civilised and would recommend.
