I was delayed due to traffic accidents, but the staff were very helpful in guiding me into the property as reception was closed. Very interesting building inside with much to look at and ponder about. Buffet breakfast was generous and fresh self service with hot and cold options.

A above basic hotel, nice size rooms, friendly helpful staff member (we only saw the one), Breakfast was nice and fresh each day. We were able to lock our motorcycles out of the way in the hotels garage, which was a nice touch. The hotel is well situated for all the towns main square activities.

The hotel was adequate for my stay, was clean and tidy, breakfast was a bit disappointing, with it be just just a continental type (cold) it would have been better with a choice of hot, timings was of service was also disapointing, entrance was not until 1600hrs breakfast was 0800 to10 so that means if you wish to be some were say for 0830 you would have to for go breakfast. It also seems like a one man show that one probably why service was a bit poor.

Perfect location
Perfectly located 1 minutes walk from central square. There was a very large crack in the window of my room which had been repaired with tape. Bathroom fixtures were dated and tired. Be aware that there is a limited check in time from 16:00 to 20:00. We missed this in the details when booking the rooms and we were told there was no flexibility. Although we talked to some other guests who arrived late and managed to book in!

All you could need.
3 guys, 3 motorbikes, more than 3 beers. This proved to be the perfect stopover. Good value and amazing service. Was allowed to put all motorbikes in a secure garage at no extra cost too. Felt really well looked after!

Good Hotel in Centre of Ypres
Alliance Hotel is not the newest property in the world but it’s maintenance is not bad. The breakfast is nice and they can suggest some free parking that avoids having to pay €20+ per night. The rooms are not the most modern ever but it is not bad for a short stay.

The owner of this hotel is absolutely lovely, he was very helpful when we were checking in. He helped us get organized with our parking, which was great because we were able to park right in front, and since it is free parking from 6 pm to 9 am, it worked out perfectly for us. He gave us a map showing us some of the main sights, and recommended that we show up for the Last Post early, which was solid advice because it is busy every night! The location is great, you are a two minute walk from the main square in front of the Flanders Fields museum and the cloth hall. You are really close to the Menin Gate, so we were able to listen to the Last Post. There are a lot of restaurants and bars all along the Menin Road, so you have a lot of selection in that way. The rooms are a bit tired and old, but still comfortable. The dining room is beautiful, and the continental breakfast was really good. Cereals, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, toast, and you can boil an egg too. Even fresh croissants on the table. It was a good place to stay after our visit to Passchendaele and Tyne Cot, and if we had had more time the Flanders Fields museum is supposed to be great too.

Great hotel for the price
The hotel was great- breakfast was good, hotel was clean, and within walking distance of the train station and all the main areas. Only thing was the pillows were a little uncomfortable. Everything else was great. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable and Convenient
Good location - convenient for exploring Yepres. Free parking on the street for nights and weekends. My stay was on a Friday night so parking was not a problem. Room was comfortable. Heater did not work well but room temp was tolerable so I did not complain. Breakfast was basic but good with coffee, juice, breads, cold cuts and cheese. Eggs available to cook yourself (boiler).

Good location.
Centrally located and within easy walking distance to town centre and sites of interest. "Free parking " is within the deresticted parking area about 1 minute drive 4 minutes walk away. Bathroom needed some TLC and re masticing. Breakfast was adequate. I was only there 1 night so just used it for sleeping and breakfast. I would stay again.

Biker friendly hotel just off the market square. Bikes parked under cover via a lane at rear of hotel. Large comfortable bedrooms on ground floor overlooking small courtyard. Direct access to rooms from courtyard and only a few steps from the garage. Menin Gate and Market Square only a few minutes walk away with plenty of bars and restaurants in the square. Usual continental buffet breakfast and friendly staff.

Think “Road side Motel with no parking” Would not stay here again. Beds and pillows uncomfortable, rooms dusty and dirty. Small fan supplied, watch for mosquitos if you leave the window open. No parking as advertised. Asked for a double- got two single bed frames pushed together (not ensemble, timber frames pushed together). They have an outdoor area with a massive sign saying not to “picnic” out there, that refreshments are in the bar. There’s also a note in the room saying you cannot eat or drink in there, so no fridge, tea or coffee facilities Breakfast is not very nice. It is in a good location, close to main attractions but not worth it for €99 a night.

*** ALERT *** On your site it stated that the room has WiFi. Maybe the front of the hotel has it, but they stuck us as far back as possiable, room 17. I asked if there was anything closer, she said no. She told me that the only way for us to get the internet is to leave our room, walk about 50’ and sit at the picnic tables outside to get it. 10pm it gets dark. Next time when I travel I will go to more trusted site like Expedia.

Beautiful Ypres
Good value for money in comparison to other hotels in the area. Easy enough to find somewhere to park nearby. Room was clean and warm, comfortable bed. Breakfast fine but don't expect a fried one. Staff could cheer up a bit though. Toiletries for the shower not great, suggest take your own.

A miserable stay!
Very uncomfortable bed very stark furnishings, more like a budget stay in a hostel than a 3 star hotel. Check in was at 4 pm and not able to go into room a minute before had to wait in miserable corridor. We would never return to this hotel, we would stay in France next time!

Good value B&B
Good value B&B for one night stay. Spacious room and bathroom at the back of the hotel therefore very quiet. Convenient for the centre of the town, Menin Gate etc. Impossible to find parking as so many roads in the town were shut off but did manage to find free parking a short walk away. Superb breakfast with lots of choice.Would definitely stay here again.

Despite the listing coming up in a search for hotels with parking, this hotel has NO parking facilities. In addition, when we arrived and asked the desk staff they said "Yes, the website is wrong" and when asked about street parking (how much it cost, maximum stay, what the yellow dashes on the kerb mean) they didn't know!

The room was only accessible up a narrow stairway with no safety rail which meant that lugging our suitcases was a big problem. Even though parking was specified we were left to fend for ourselves as the owner claimed no responsibility for misrepresenting the parking situation (it was booked with free parking).

Nice hotel, much nicer in reality than the photos, clean and modern room. Staff very helpful, arrived 1.5 hours early for check-in and they still let us check in.

Far too over priced for the accommodation. The hotel was nice and in a nice location. The room is only worth about 80 Euros per night. It was last minute I had to book, but I wouldn't pay that price again for a mere 2-3 star hotel. I think they well over priced themselves.

Ypres weekend
We enjoyed our stay at the alliance, good location to everything, our room was clean, hotel was quiet at night and the continental breakfast was nice and fresh every morning. Our trip coincided with the Wales /Belgium football game which we watched with the locals who were so friendly even when they lost .
