“Served it's purpose for Marathon Weekend”

My wife and I along with our six year old daughter stayed here in December of 2010 for the marathon weekend. Nothing real fancy, but it served it's purpose and saved some money over the downtown hotels that were booked anyway. There appeared to be quite a few runners staying there as well. Check in was quick. Although we were not allowed to check early. Room was fairly clean. No signs of bed bugs. Easy to get to from the Interstate in both directions. Easy access to downtown Memphis. Lots of other hotels around. Felt safe in the hotel wit my family. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was understaffed but did offer some hot options for free and you could order from the menu if you wanted to pay. The heated indoor pool was a welcome feature for my six year old, but no hot tub.

“Great stay in West Memphis!”

Check in was very easy. The hotel was very appealing visually inside. Everyone was very nice and respectful. The indoor pool was awesome. My kids enjoyed the pool very much! The room was very comfortable. Over all a great place to stay...

Area recommendations
The neighborhood was on the outskirts of Memphis, TN. Not exactly a vacation destination, more of a way point for travellers going elsewhere. There were several restaurants and shopping areas nearby, though.

“If you smoke”

We requested a smoking room for our stay. We did have a smoking room, but the windows did not open and there was no fan to suck up the smoke. We were very disappointed with this.

“Good for what I needed it for”

Although the bathroom counter had a few stray hairs on it, the overall cleanliness was good. The shower did have a problem with getting hot all of a sudden, but I would stay again if I needed to. The hotel staff were very friendly, definately a plus.

“Hotel o.k. may or may not. stay again”

The hotel was ok but the pool wasn't open and the food at the restrant was only o.k. not great.
