Comfortable stay in Sedona

Posted Mar 30, 2015
The hotel room was large and comfortable. My only disappointment was not having a view.

Dissapointing stay @ highly acclaimed Sedona Rouge

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The food, staff and service at Reds Restaurant.
Cons: Management, the staffs knowledge of services and consideration for guests who are paying high dollars for first rate hotel stays.
Location: Beautiful location with many other equally or better hotels nearby. Also, uptown Sedona was only minutes away. Restaurant selections were slim.
The hotel was under renovation; an inconvenience that was not revealed until check-in our room when we found a flyer on our bed pillow. The staff was not the least bit friendly, knowledgeable about services nor intrested in us because as they stated " you booked with Expedia." The restaurant Reds was wonderful however. . . stay somewhere else where they have a staff of massage therapists so you can book the services the hotel claims to offer. Our bookings were always pending them contacting a therapist and that only allowed for 1 massage over a 4 day period.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The restaurant/ lounge was lovely, and the food was very good.
Location: Let the concierge tell you. He was just wonderful. He arranged a tour for us, provided us a map for a day excursion on our own, and was very friendly
It was a pleasant surprise... to be expecting a bit of construction noise, a fact I had been made aware of when booking, but as it turned out, we heard almost nothing, and it did not detract from enjoying our stay.

Nice but currently under construction

Posted Mar 20, 2015
We were not able to ck in on time! The tub would not hold water. The blow dryer Did not work. We were given a free app at the restaurant but could only use til 7pm as private party at that point. They would not assist after that and said basically "to bad". Would I stay here again? Maybe/maybe not! I am guessing there are other hotels that are more accomodating when there are iaauea

The hotel manager is not able to give any answer.

The hotel manager do not answer any of our problems because at check in they proposed a up rate overlooking the mountain and the only view that the room had was the neighborhood construction.

Birthday Celebration

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Location: Beautiful hiking very close by.
We enjoyed our stay at Sedona Rouge. The room was very comfortable, but I would opt for a room not facing the street. Traffic was heavy and at times noisy. All in all it was a nice place to stay. I am not sure I agree with the resort fee. The resort did offer appetizers and reduced drink specials during happy hour, but we were not allowed in the restaurant on the evening of my birthday because there was a private party. This seemed a bit strange to us as guests of the resort to be told we were not welcome, but enjoyed a wonderful Italian restaurant down the street from the hotel instead. It's atmosphere was much better than Reds and the food was top notch.

Beautiful hotel, mediocre lobby personnel

Posted Feb 26, 2015
The room was clean with a modern bathroom , comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. The restaurant at the facility was also very good. The weakness of this hotel is the lobby personnel. It was basically made up by very inexperienced young people who seemed to work there during their college freshman spring break. They had no idea of the schedule of the shuttles buses departing the hotel. They had little idea of what the Sedona film festival was all about despite the fact that their hotel was a major spinsor. They provided me with wrong informations and misdirected me. They had a difficult time processing credit card transitions and embarrassed me by asking identification for a few dollar transition (never happened to me before). This should detract from the hotel which I think is very nice and comfortable. Hopefully management will train people working in the lobby better.
