“Nice Room but noise from kitchen filling outside garbage containers early in morning”
My room was nice.. on 7th floor. The only issue I had was with the fact that between 6am and 7am apparently they take out the kitchen garbage or food deliveries are made. I am pretty sure it was the garbage..because it was very loud and I could hear it despite the fact that I had earplugs in. I mentioned it to the Bar Manager but he was sure it was the delivery van which implied he could not do anything about it.
“Very Nice Hotel”
after being a ferry and then hours on a train all we wanted to do was get to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with this one. It fit what you expect from a Crowne Plaza, the bed was much more comfortable than we anticipated. The one thing that surprised me was the size of the bathroom. The bathroom was huge! We stayed here as we were going to a lot of other places in England and the station was centrally located for us. We would definitely return to this hotel.
“Good option in proximity to Gatwick”
The room was modern and well appointed. The hotel was quiet, clean and well run. The health facility could have had a few more pieces of cardio equipment bit it too was clean and well run. We only ate breakfast at the Crowne Plaza but the food was good and the menu was diverse. There isn't much going on within walking distance of the hotel...it's fairly residential. The pub located in the lobby was not a bad option for a drink at the end of the day. My only suggestion would be for the front desk staff to alert guests to the purpose of the key card slot located inside the entry. Without inserting your card, the electrical system in the room will not operate. I'm certainly in favor of this method of reducing energy usage, just wish it had been explained. There is a shuttle service that runs from Gatwick Airport to the hotels in the Gatwick/Crowley vicinity. 3 pounds per trip versus a taxi seemed fair.

The choice of driving round the M25 on a Monday morning, or staying at a hotel overnight seemed obvious. I was suprised how clean and modern the room was. Akso I could walk down the town centre in about 15 minutes. Nearby there are plenty of Restaurants, even though the CP Restaurant was fine. I will definately stay at this hotel again!
“Very nice hotel, especially for an airport”
The hotel itself was lovely, clean, and well kept. I was a bit disappointed with the slow and inattentive service at dinner, and the disorganization at breakfast...it was a self-serve buffet and yet somehow was made quite complicated.
“Airport Hotel.....Not”
The hotel was fine, however the fact that it markets itself as a Gatwick Hotel is very misleading. I would not expect to pay 14 pounds in taxi to get from the terminal to an "airport hotel". Very misleading, and will not be staying in Crawley again.
