Good base, enjoyable stayPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The room, overlooking the pub garden (on a busy warm summer weekend) was very quiet.
Cons: The shower was hard to adjust (minor irritation).
Location: The location is perfect for the theatre, shopping, restaurants.
A friend and I stayed here last weekend on a visit to Chichester Festival. Although our twin room was small, it was perfectly adequate for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent and the dining area and garden cheerful and well kept.

5 Minute walk to the centre of town.Posted Jun 24, 2014
Friendly and helpful staff, good food and ideal for a couple of nights stay if you are visiting the area.

Staff superior to the place itself...Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: The staff...central location
Cons: It's in an ancient town, hence no parking facilities. However, nearby public parking was reasonable.
The rooms at the George & Dragon could do with a bit of tlc really. However, everything is clean and the bed was nice and comfy. The overall experience can only be described as OK but it has to be said, the staff there are really pleasant.

Mixed impressionsPosted May 25, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The rooms are in need of redecoration/refurbishment.
Location: Close to the theatre and only a short walk from the centre of the city, cathedral, etc.
Food in the restaurant was very good and we found all members of staff friendly and helpful. As far as the bedroom was concerned it was comfortable but clearly in need of refurbishment. Also rather cramped although that did not really matter for a short stay. Although a pub with a courtyard right outside the bedroom window, the crowd had dispersed by 11.00 and it was very quiet indeed after that.

Lovely place to stayPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The rooms at the George and Dragon are in an restored outbuilding behind the pub with a separate entrance for groups of 4 rooms. The rooms are comfortable and attractive. The only small problem was ventilation as the weather was very hot that night, probably because it was an attic room. We kept the bathroom fan on all night but a fan in the room would have been good. Breakfast was served in the restaurant area of the bar and was fine. The rooms overlook the garden so we could hear people in the garden during the evening as it was a warm evening but even though it was a Saturday night there was no noise after about 10.30/11pm. The location was very good, on the edge of the old town very close to Priory Park and at one end of one of the shopping streets. Only 5 mins walk from the cathedral and 10 mins walk from the station even though it is at the other end of the town.

Great little Hotel right in middle of ChichesterPosted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
lovely little hotel right on the High Street , rooms are at the back though so no street noise. The main bar was nice with a terraced area outside and the staff were friendly . Good breakfast the following morning plenty of choice and a big car park just across the road.

Great location, nice rooms, very good beerPosted May 12, 2014
Just a quick one night break to explore Chichester and it was perfect for that. Always easy to pick small things that need a bit of TLC but on the whole the G&D is a good place to stay. Good breakfast and a great pint of Doom Bar

Fairly goodPosted Mar 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Annoying having to wait at bar with bags etc to check in while three customers are served beers. Bedroom clean, nicely fitted. Good breakfast. Only complaint is noisy doors to rooms and accommodation block banging loudly. Otherwise ok.
