Overnight stay before morning flight

Posted May 3, 2015
We stayed in a room with double bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was broken and had no support at the foot of the bed. A VERY loud alarm went off in the middle of the night waking our 13 month old, sounded like it came from the hallway. Breakfast in the AM was a good spread for a continental. Staff cheery and helpful. For one night this accomodation was OK, but not comfortable.

Great hotel near the airport

Posted Apr 17, 2015
We arrived late and staff were great at checking us in quickly. Room was more impressive than I expected. My husband and two kids had a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was a little crowded with limited choice but at the price we paid for the room it was all you could ask for. We were so impressed we booked a night on our way back from airport too! If you need somewhere for airport I would highly recommend!

Really disappointed,

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Reception staff & location.
Cons: Oh gosh! Management & Organisation of catering facilities, cleanliness, customer services, availability of breakfast. space in bedrooms!
Location: Close to railnetwork
This hotel is really mismanaged when it comes to cleanliness and organisation. I had to ask for breakfast table to be cleaned on 1st morn and second staff too busy chatting ump get themselves I cleaned it myself. Breakfast was like being in faulty towers a real farce, really like a children's tea party, mess everywhere, really really awfull. Reception staff were very polite, bedroom far too small for a sofa bed could not move around at all being dirty with previous spillages stains etc, had to put towels above and below us prior to getting into bed, previous occupants hair grips etc in room, bathroom tumblers covered in cellophane caked in dust, really really bad experience. Day two had to ask for breakfast items to be told at 9.40 sorry breakfast finishes @10, when I explained the time I was told okay will warm something up! then heard a member of staff requesting "save some sausages for reception staff!

Overall an ok experience but bed uncomfortable

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: shower, cleanliness, breakfast, close to gatwick (10/15 mins drive)
Cons: bed, mattress, noise issues!!!
The room was clean, the shower was nice, breakfast was good. The bed however, was uncomfortable - mattress was springy and worn out, could feel springs and was twisting and turning most of the night. Also, was awaken quite early by loud noises (not sure where it was coming from, could have been noise from when shower was turned on in room above). I was mainly looking for a good night's sleep as had a long flight the next day and this just didn't happen. There was also a large group of kids at the hotel during my stay and they were running up and down the halls until late into the evening, so it was quite noisy all evening.

Good hotel, but...

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Cons: Certainly, the first thing would be more adequate bedding, and a more efficient air conditioning unit
Location: I was staying in order to attend a concert at the Hawth, which is a very good venue.
Generally, it was a good hotel, however, I spent the evening wrestling with the air conditioning, which was very erratic, and ended up switching it off, as I got tired of trying to adjust it. Therefore the room was quite cold, and the duvet was extremely thin , so I ended up doubling the duvet over myself, and placing the towels across the bed to keep the duvet in place, therefore a not very comfortable night. The breakfast next morning , although advertised as continental, provided a good choice of cereals, etc, and also scrambled eggs and sausages. The dining room was pleasant, and hot food was being replenished. On leaving, I was not asked if my stay had been satisfactory, just a goodbye. Marion Fry, Cambridge

Convenient for theatre

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The staff, ease of parking , the room ,the price!!
Cons: The bed, especially the base-far too springy
Location: Near the Hawth and not far from the town centre
We would recommend just about everything for this hotel,we were going to an evening performance at the Hawth and it was just a five minute walk away. The room was beautiful ,spacious and quiet. What let it down completely was the bed! A cross between a trampoline and a jelly may be a good description, which we realised the moment we sat on it. It was, though, too late to say, so we spent the night being wobbled by the slightest movement!! In fairness, we reported it the following morning to reception so we trust something would be done. Breakfast was quite good but we wondered why sausages but no bacon? We would definitely go there again

The location of the hotel is perfect for travelers who want to be close to everything! A few minutes from the train station. The staff is GREAT! They even made breakfast for us at 4 am on the departure day. Hotel is very child friendly. The only thing that we didn't like is that the road next to is is a bit loud. I am a sensitive sleeper and it was a challenge for me to get quality sleep.

Overnight stay for flight

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Location including parking and the staff
Cons: Breakfast, it was ok
Location: Handy for the airport obviously
Great location, parking for the night included, breakfast ok but not great, great staff, clean, everything you need for an overnight stay
