Disappointing stay. Had booked a room for two adults and when booking room option is given as king/twin. On arrival, the room shown had a king bed and we were duly charged half the nights rate for someone to separate the beds into twin. Extortion. Will not return.

The building is old and charmingly cared for . The new owners couldn’t be more delightful , accessible and smiley as they stop to engage and chat . We are full time carers and actually only live three miles away but Findon Manor has become our restorative solution ,( when we can!), as our room was so peaceful and dark backing onto the ancient gardens already covered in snowdrops . Breakfast waffles were off the scale delicious and the veggie breakfast a feast . Thank you FM , we will be back very soon x

Christmas Stay
We stayed for a couple of days over Christmas. The hotel was decorated beautifully for the festive period, we had a wreath on our bedroom door and even a little Christmas tree in our room. The bed was very comfortable, the room was lovely and quiet. Water pressure wasn’t the best in the shower. Breakfast was delicious. All the staff we met were friendly, efficient, and courteous. Will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area.

Absolutely lovely staff and great sized room. Comfy bed too. The manor is located un the middle of some great local walks too. Breakfast was delicious. We will certainly be staying again

The hotel is in a small village and in a quiet location. The staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The breakfasts are very good with plenty of variety and options. I enjoyed my stay

Friendly staff who were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable if a little tired in places. I was here on a business trip and needed Wi-Fi . This proved to be a little frustrating but the staff were very helpful and ensured that I had internet connection for urgent work.

Lovely old building, room could do with a bit of an update carpets and paint etc. but easily overlooked due to its charm.

Loved the peaceful but friendly atmosphere. Ideal for walking and relaxing. Hotel has all you need and food was delicious. Would prefer a larger room and some chairs to sit on as do not always wish to be in the public lounge or gatrden.

Staff were lovely. Dinner at the restaurant took 45 minutes to get after ordering. There were a couple other issues the staff graciously dealt with. The price greatly outweighed the room and facilities.

The hotel was very welcoming and the staff are all excellent. The room was large and comfortable although a little on the cold side when we arrived. The bed was very good. Our biggest concern was the lack of power in the shower.

Overall would recommend as good value
The manager could not of been more helpful and all staff were very polite and courteous. Only criticism is the carpet on the stairs needs replacing as worn and dirty. Other small improvement in my opinion would be to offer breakfast til a little later than 9am.

Very good - after some tlc, will be great.
Lovely hotel we had often seen while driving by. Quite understandably after the lockdown the hotel needs some tlc and looked neglected in the garden. The whole of the back of the building had scaffolding and painters but luckily we were at the front but it would have been good to have been informed beforehand. It was unusually hot at night and an efficient fan would have been great. The one we found in the wardrobe was tiny. We were made to feel a little foolish at times when we stood near the bar or didn't bring toiletries. All very understandable given the social distancing etc. but it is all in the way it is said. The room was lovely, so clean and light and breakfast and dinner was spot on. There is more to see in the area, especially Saxon churches, so we think we will stay at Findon Manor again...when it is cooler.

Hello Christine Thank you for taking the time to review Findon Manor Hotel. The gardens we maintained minimally in the lock down period as unsure of when we would re-open. However, as soon as we had our re-opening date (13th July) the gardener has been busy working on the gardens, however the extremely hot weather is not a great time for replanting. The grass is now looking greener with the much needed rain. Sorry you were not notified about the scaffolding, the back of the hotel was due to be painted prior to lock down when we were quieter but again the lock down period put a stop to this. We did notify the guests to the rear of the hotel as it was adjacent to their bedroom windows. Apologises you were not informed. We are glad you found your room to be clean light and enjoyed the breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you in a cooler and less restrictive time in the future Kind regards Wendy Lewis

Findon overnight stay
Excellent overnight stay here. Comfy rooms and bed. Separate Private bathroom. Great eating in restaurant - Snooty Fox. Choices on menu a bit different to the usual. Really good for gluten free meals - but limited for dessert but hardly had room anyway!

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful building, room was small but certainly adequate, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Also cater very well for diets (gluten free and lactose free) with barely any restrictions on menu choices.
