Good enoughPosted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: cheap and friendly
Cons: the décor in the rooms and the exceptionally creaky beds!
bar was welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. The room was exceptionally clean but very basic and could do with modernising.

The people who run the place are quite nice and food is decent. How ever the rooms need work, the beds need replacing, the nightstand lights did not work(bulbs burnt out). Was not worth what I paid for it. To bad though, the niceness of the people does not offset the cost of run down rooms and beds.

Cons: Sound proofing between rooms.
Location: Location ok, in my view it is probably better for one night business use.
The bedroom was ok, however it was easy to overhear the adjacent room even though the occupant was not noisy. Breakfast was very good though.

Having changed our rather grotty and noisy room for a much more pleasant and quieter one, we were very happy with the service and excellent breakfasts. It served our purpose as an excellent pied a terre for visiting the many attractive places to visit around.

This cannot be classed as a hotel, it is a pub with a few rooms attached round the back. The pub was very cold and we were the only people there. There was no atmosphere at all. The rooms were very cold when we arrived but heated up after a couple of hours once the heater had been turned on. The bed was very uncomfortable and the walls were so thin that I could hear my friends in the next room talking as clearly as if they were in the same room. The bathroom was freezing cold. The only thing that was good was the food. The evening meal was lovely & so was the breakfast. We would definately not go again and would not recommend at all. If the charges were considerably cheaper it would be ok because it really is more like a Travelodge. They offer free wyfi that is only accessable in the pub it is not available in the rooms. It is not very near Chichister either.

This is a 'Pub with rooms' that have been purpose built removed form the pub but in the Car Park, pleased to say there was no noise from the pub. Grandly named as "Suites" after Roman figures, the room was small with a tiny shower & toilet. Very clean and pleasant service.
