Beautiful hotel with a fantastic and quirky room. Only downside was no parking but the multistorey was two minute walk away.

Lovely... But noisy.Posted Nov 21, 2014
Lovely views of the canals. Glass of wine on arrival. Very handy for the Royal Armouries (important for me as I was visiting the Thought Bubble Comic Convention. Really nice room. Only down side was that my room was close to the Millenium Bridge leading to the Brewary Quay. Lots of very drunk and loud folk singing through the night. I'd definitely stay again, all the same, but would ask to have a room away from the bridge.

Great central locationPosted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Staff were great as was the location and the quirky / historic building.
Cons: New carpets in corridors and rooms. Windows needed repainting and catches / handles repairing.
Location: Leeds shopping, Yorkshire Playhouse, great restaurants nearby ( incl. Brasserie 44 next door and Tapas restaurant two doors up the street).
Charming hotel staff in a great location in an old converted mill on the banks of the Aire. It's a very old building so no air-con and a few creaky floor boards, but otherwise it's fine for an overnight or a city break. Lovely warm bathroom, with plenty of space in which to wallow with a book or glass of wine - complimentary on arrival. Room was clean and spacious and the large bed very comfortable. The original hotel conversion / renovation was approx 20 years ago, and is showing its age in parts - e.g. worn and slightly shabby carpets, peeling paintwork, broken window catches etc. However, these were not a big deal and wouldn't put me off returning. Free wifi in rooms, plus tea / coffee and minibar. No parking on site, but modern NCP multi-storey a few hundred yards away (£20 approx per day)
