Cheap and EasyPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Price, location and bar and restaurant on site.
Cons: Make sure wifi is working.
Location: We visited the Hepworth Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Both excellent.
We have stayed before and find it cheap and easy with good facilities however we were disappointed at the lack of wifi this time as it is an important consideration when deciding where to stay.

Late check inPosted Aug 8, 2014
Front desk hard to find. In the restaurant. Staff about to go home at 11:30 but were very helpful

Campanile - Not GreatPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Good value for money. Decent en-suite bathroom.
Cons: At this price point, probably nothing (you get what you pay for), but I would not recommend it (or stay again) due to the clientele it attracts.
The staff here are good &, to be honest, have to put up with a lot of cr*p from unruly guests. Felt really sorry for the overnight security guard who was called-out to deal with pugnacious charvers: what a thankless task. I get the impression this is a regular occurrence... The rooms themselves are pretty basic, although there's a shortage of power sockets, so if you want to watch TV & charge your phone at the same time - forget it. No air conditioning is hardly a surprise at this price point but was certainly a problem for us in July, with the rooms becoming stiflingly hot. My room also suffered from "snot" on the walls & (would you believe) the ceiling. Don't know how long it had been there but, needless to say, it's not pleasant. That said, the other two rooms in our party did not suffer from this.

overnight accommodation for workPosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Fairly close to workplace -although took a while to get there across town
Cons: A little more attention to cleaning
Location: In the middle of an industrial estate! No time to explore
Difficult to find, the room had everything in it that was published but overall seemed a bit tired. Did the job but I wouldn't go back there. Staff very helpful and obliging. I felt it was a little pricey for what it provided.

Poor location, poor qualityPosted Jul 11, 2014
Not a hotel I would return to, if I could avoid it. Rooms were tired. Thin, stained carpets. Bed sags on one side. And I changed my room once already, so no more rooms available, as, amazingly, they were sold out.

good valuePosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Bed was very comfy.Room and linen very clean
Cons: Lamp didn't work and looked quite grubby.
Hotel was very clean if a little tired looking. No plug sockets for phone charger and a lamp that didn't work.Having said that it was just what we needed and a very reasonable price.Had quite a job finding the hotel and arrived with just 3 mins to spare before it shut.

Campanile WakefieldPosted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Not a lot to say here. I arrived late and left quite early. The room was clean. The sink needed a plug, but otherwise it was fine.
Cons: Signage once on the estate would have spared me the misery of driving on past the place.
Location: Again, I arrived late and left early.
The hotel is located off a side road on an industrial estate. Whilst there was a sign off the main road, once inside the industrial estate things became a bit of a challenge. Having driven past the lane where it was located, I backtracked and found it. The hotel reception was closed at this time but after dialling the contact number, I found my room.

Pros: Convenient and price.
Cons: Bathroom could be updated.
Location: N / A
Only needed a one night stopover. Cheap and cheerful and served the purpose of a nights sleep.
