what do you expect for the price?Posted Feb 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a room, what more can I say. No lock on the door and curtains do not meet in the middle, but for £25.00 I could not ask for any more.

Not very professional staff, but lovely room.Posted Jan 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room I stayed in (The family room) was a lovely size, and well laid out. The water was hot, and the beds were okay. There was no heating on in my room, and when I came down the following morning to question it, I was treated like an idiot for not coming down to reception at midnight (when I had arrived back at the hotel) and asking for a heater. There are no phones in the rooms to call down to reception. The other staff were nice, but not very hotel-polished or professional, like you'd expect elsewhere.

Only stay here if you like the smell of Indian food. The hotel is right above an Indian restaurant and the smell is overwhelming, especially if you leave your bathroom door closed overnight (used the bathroom in the morning and the smell was strong!) The shower was tiny, I hardly had room to move and I'm only 5"3. Otherwise, no complaints. The room was neat and tidy, towels were supplied, wi-fi and tv were free and they offered me a hairdryer at no extra charge. As a place to stop as a layover, this hotel was fine - you got what you paid for.

Not bad at all !Posted Aug 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was a bit pensive about staying here after reading a few reviews and with the "cheap" price .... however it was fine, no problems, the double room is a lot beter than the single and worth paying in a bit extra. Room was very clean and experienced no problems at all ! Give it a chance, room 103 was good ! Above a curry house in a quiet street but for a night ot two it was totally fine.

Brilliant for pricePosted Jul 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
I had a very pleasant stay, the hotel was always clean and fresh, it was above an Indian restaurant, I didn't eat there but it looked nice. The hotel and room always smelt clean and fresh and the hotel was right in the city center. Overall I had a good stay whilst on business and the staff were very accommodating.

Could do with an overhaulPosted Jul 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a convenient location, the staff were polite and helpful, although one of the receptionists did not have a good command of English. or seem to know anything about the area. Our room lacked a chair, there was no stool in front of the dressing table mirror and one of the bedside cabinets was missing, although you could see where it had been. The bed lacked a headboard. Parts of the carpet, especially in the corners, were dusty. Also, the overwhelming smell of curry from the restaurant on the ground floor permeated the bathroom constantly. The bathroom floor had a line of dirt and scum where a mop had pushed it. No bath mat or hand towels. We had to share one lovely big bath towel and put the other one on the floor to stand on. The toilet seat was very unappealing. It was in a dreadful state, covered in scuff marks and areas where the finish had peeled, and should have been replaced long ago. The toilet roll was half used up when we arrived, and there were no other rolls in evidence. The water, however, was plentiful and hot. Much of the description I read on-line did not fit the hotel. Nor did the pictures of the rooms--at least, our room. No bathrobes. No parking. There was a charge for breakfast, even though it was described on-line as complimentary. The dining room, though orderly and clean, resembled a funeral parlour. The hotel does need to adhere to its on-line description, and could do with a good overhaul.
