Great value for moneyPosted Jan 15, 2014 on Hotels
It is the 2nd time I have been there and I have enjoyed both visits. The rooms are great: very clean, comfortable, continuous and uninterrupted wifi throughout, clean bathroom and shower.

Pleasant pub B&BPosted Dec 17, 2013 on Hotels
Good standard of pub B&B - staff friendly, breakfast good, plenty of car parking, nice drinking areas. Room & bathroom functional, and quiet during our stop. Price quite reasonable. Only minor downside was single beds on the narrow side but not really an issue

I've stayed at the Croppers before and liked it then. Booking through Hotels.com gave me an excellent room rate. The room is very clean and the bathroom was beautiful. Breakfast was good quality and served by a cheerful lady. My evening meal in the dining room was very good value. I'd recommend the "Home Made Steak Pie, Chips & Veg". Top pub grub. And the beer is good too. A word of warning for elderly or those with walking difficulties. The Croppers is an old pub and the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep. I'm good on my feet but I'm very wary coming down them. I hope to stay again many times.

Very pool Lely maintained hotel. Internet was not working. Nobody in the hotel after 10 am to deal with problems.

Excellent ValuePosted Oct 2, 2013 on Hotels
Very comfortable room and bed. Well decorated. Although slightly out of town, there is a bus stop right outside accommodation. Excellent value for money.

Nosiey/friendlyPosted Sep 1, 2013 on Hotels
Pleasant hotel just about liveable for the weekend, friendly kind but close too nosey as to the amount questions asked. The room was dirty blinds shower etc, it was not cleaned by a professinal staff it felt that it was cleaned by an elderly person who had poor eye sight. Had to wipe forks etc (old well used) before using it. Vinegar, sauce bottle was refilled not wiped. Bed sheets dirty, bed bumpy. Overall never again never recommemd to anyone. But they were helpful.

Mediocre. Check-in time was stated as 2 p.m. onwards but when I arrived about 3 p.m. all the doors were locked and it took quite some time for the landlord to show up. The pub is nice enough but the hotel room is small and seedy.

Nice comfy & clean.Posted Aug 27, 2013
Cons: I had to leave at 7am & breakfast didn't start till 7:30. As I couldn't wait I got £5 back. Can't ask for more really.
Location: It is above a pub but it was a friendly pub with music they wasn't too loud as I didn't hear it in my room. This was mid week.
A nice comfy, friendly clean place to rest over night.

Pros: Good food, clean, quiet and friendly staff.
Location: Please see above comments. Greenhead Park is lovely for children of all ages.
Very easy to find. Good Welcome. Food excellent. Plenty of parking spaces, and a lovely park nearby which is excellent for all ages, called Greenhead Park. Railway and Bus Station, town centre and amenities within walking distance for most visitors. Excellent bus service, and hospital nearby.
