Close to bars and shops

Didn't like having to make phone call to get someone to come to reception. Also had to pay to use car park .

Great Hotel, Good Location, Excellent Value

This hotel is great value for money. It is in the center of town with a 5 - 10 minute walk from the shops and 10-15 minute walk from the Victoria Theatre. The Hotel Staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast was excellent. I would definately stay here again and would highly recommend it. The Hotel parking was a bonus.

OK for a stop over but a bit tired and basic

Not a bad hotel for a stop over, bit basic and the room we was in had some type of fan running close by all night which made for a poor nights sleep, Also reeked of cigarette smoke, good job the heating was turned up to 'VERY HOT!!' as we had to leave the window open to disperse the smell. Would have asked for room move but realised the hotel was fully booked(Christmas dinner/party downstairs). Two single beds which were very firm and uncomfortable but that's a personal choice, fair breakfast if a limited choice, manic at breakfast and self service for everything including cutlery, not to say the staff didn't work hard, the poor girls were rushed off their feet just clearing up and topping up the self service table!!. Car park was tight but mainly because hotels was full and as markings were poor people were parking across two spaces. Main gripe was that it was suppose to be 'pay on arrival' but my credit card given for reservation to 'Hotels.com' had already been debited which was not the card I wanted to pay with!!!

Night out in Halifax to a friends Pub opening.

Mix up with booking on arrival. But was sorted very quickly. Given all relevant information.Room was warm, spacious and a good tv on the wall. Wifi in the room was free. Dressing table didn't have power point but my straighteners have a long lead so used side of bed power point . Lots of hangers and storage for clothes. Bathroom very clean. Missing a bath mat. Shower was fab. Bed very comfy but I was a tad drunk. Slept well. Missed breakfast as I was hungover. But managed a cup of tea and biscuit before checking out of the room. Good location for Halifax Centre. Direct route from Motorway. Would defiantly stay again.

Hotel was dusty upon return at night, bed was so uncomfortable I have been really stiff since I woke up after my nights stay here
