Nice location but a little remote

Loved the room and pool but pool bar closed in early Feb and hotel bars all closed at 10.30 which is disappointing for a 5 star hotel

Service a little slow

Nice Hotel and location lovely but a little remote from restuarants. Also you cannot get a drink after 10.30pm as all bars closed at that time.

In the middle of no where and very little service. Was like a ghost town when we visited.

Exceptional hotel

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service from all staff members. They take pride in their work. The Waterside Grill had excellent food ranging from sushi to steak and service was again superb

Great hotel to use as a base for garden route

Pros: Space in roooms
Cons: WFI performance
Location: Good base for exploring the garden route. A gem for golfers
Very good. We were given a ground floor room initially but on request moved to a room with a lovely view. The only drawback was the WFI which was slow and worked intermittantly.

Expected Better

The patio outside was unfinished, slabs placed but not finished soil and weeds. Waterside restaurant was a nice design, but watching the chefs cook was a pantomime each one kept patting the food and stood back an looked at it only to arrive at the table undercooked had had to be returned. Quality could have been a lot better.
