Lovely hotel, fantastic food

Posted Dec 31, 2013
Pros: Idyllic setting, excellent food.
Cons: Frequency of shuttle buses and making the last bus slightly later in the afternoon.
Location: A bit remote but fine if you know in advance and plan accordingly.
As other reviews have said, this hotel isn't near anything else so you need to plan to eat at the hotel. However, the food is excellent. There's not much flexibility for dining - everyone eats at the same time so it's a bit regimented but not really a problem. We bought a set 5 course meal for 25 euros each and although there were other things available, this was by far the best value. I believe food can be bought more cheaply than this if booking meals at the same time as the room. However, even though the cost might seem a little expensive, for the food we got, it wasn't as it was excellent. If you are skiing, you need to make sure you catch the free hotel shuttle bus otherwise it's an expensive taxi ride.
