A weekend after from the tri-state snow storms

Posted Feb 15, 2014
My husband and I arrived late to a very friendly hotel clerk! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable that we woke up refreshed. We enjoyed breakfast and spent the day visiting near-by relatives. We will return and next time be sure to spend time at the pool . Highly recommend.

Cold!!!!

Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Room heaters, cleanliness
Location: Not many choices for food nearby, Friendly's or Wendy's are the only ones real close.
It was below zero, but the heater kept blowing cold dry air on me. I got so cold I had to let the shower run with hot water to warm up the room. Housekeeping left a few things in the room that should have been thrown away from the prior person who had the room. Food left in the ice bucket, some dirt on the floor.

Very nice place.

Posted Jan 9, 2014
Pros: Location, clean and overall pleasent.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Smaller area, safe and local places to eat and gas station.
Very nice place. Clean - seems like a newer build. Nice front desk staff. I got in super late and they were great at the desk. Breakfast was typical in todays hotel world. Nice neighbor hood.

Pros: Breakfast room was nice, a bit above a regular continental breakfast with healthily choices-yogurt fruit and hot eggs Pool was very warm, clean
Cons: Suggested extended pool hours Usually travel with my dog, isn't dog friendly so I can't stay there when I travel with dog
Location: We were going to Equine Affaire the the Big E. a bit far from there but doable

I stopped here with my two teenagers on our way to Boston, it worked very well, clean spacious room, quiet and temp was good (i.e. adjustable and not too loud). Breakfast was stressed as there was a mens basketball team in house at exactly the same time but the staff worked very hard to keep food filled and get everyone what they needed! Would stay again if we were on the same itinerary, i.e. travelling from upstate NY to Boston. Beds were super comfortable.

Nice hotel, too bad about the apples

Posted Nov 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Comfortable, clean and convenient. Too bad that a Western Massachusetts hotel can only put out Delicious apples on the breakfast in the fall -- there are so many good local apple orchards. And maple-flavored syrup? Really? You could add some "locally grown" cachet to your chain hotel with a small investment in money and effort.

Pros: Clean. Roomy.
Location: Equine Affaire in W. Springfield.
We come every year to Springfield, MA for Equine Affaire and end up at a different hotel every year, trying to find one that is clean and welcoming to weary travelers. I think we've finally found the one that we'll come back to over and over.

I always like HI express - can count on them to have nice bedding and comfortable beds - a nice breakfast, and business center with a working printer were added pluses
