Have stayed in ABV Inns before by necessity, and was never impressed. This motel was again the only game in town, but this time we were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, staff pleasant, and breakfast was good. Very nice place for the money!

I was only in the room a short time, but it was spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast was decent.

About what you would expect at this price point.

Pros: Location is good. Staff friendly.
Cons: As mentioned, breakfast is weak and shower head location is for midgets.
The hotel is just what you would expect in this price range. It's ageing and is needing some upgrades, but it's not the Mark Hopkins after all. The two weakest areas are the "breakfast" and the shower head. The breakfast is pretty much finger food and cold cereal. Okay, I wasn't expecting IHOP. The shower head is at a level that could only work for dwarfs. But those deficiencies would not stop me from returning.

Utility hotel in the desert

Checked in with two of my kids for a one-night stay in a room wit two queens. Was told at check-in that the hotel didn't have any roll-aways available. I could be wrong, but something about the conversation made me feel like the desk clerk just didn't want to be bothered. Hotel seemed to be 30% occupied at best, so it's hard to believe they were all being used. Don't expect much for the free breakfast - marginal at best.
