Great hotel near NOLA

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Convenient and easy to get to attractions and sites.
Cons: Serve coffee at night, maybe?
Location: NOLA about 20 minutes away, swamp tours near and far, plantation tours near and far. The most southern tip of LA about 45 min - one hour away.
This hotel was about 15-20 min outside NOLA, which is just what we wanted. We were able to get to so many places easily from here. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and tried to accommodate us with every request we had. The breakfast was delicious, changed each day and was plentiful. Staff kept the area quite clean all the time we were there (5 nights). There was a lovely pool as well and if the weather were more cooperative, we might have enjoyed it. I would happily stay here again. The room was amply big and kept very neat and clean.

They Where The Best

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: It was nice and clean I loved it. It was kid friendly that is a huge plus for me. It was quite at night so you could have a goodnight sleep.
Cons: The only thing that I would improve on is that y'all were more family eateries are. Where I'm from we call them little holes in walls places.
Location: It was a great location. Not to far any and all of the attractions that you want to do and see. Close to a lot of restataurant that kids would love.
We made it there early and as able to check-in early. The front desk personal where great and very helpful if you were looking for a place to eat they will help you with recommadations and also give you directions to and from the place. Thanks Courtney and Steve who not only worked the front desk he was also the Security Guard. There was a few other people that help us that worked the front desk I didn't get their name The breaskfast was wonderful and nice with the different hot breakfast food that they swicth the days we were there. Thanks Ms. Mammie for keeping the eating area clean and the food coming. Maintenance was great we had a issue with our phone in the room and Mr. P. was on the case a sloved the problemin about 15 mintues. Housekeeping was wonderful the room was always clean and smelled so good. Thank you Reyna you are a wonderful Head Housekeeper. Thanks to all of you. for making our stay GREAT!!!

Nice hotel

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Clean, free breakfast, free wifi, free paper.
Cons: Laundry room wasn't working
Location: The best way to get around New Orleans is by trolley. From this hotel, you have to drive about 15 minutes to get to it.
I stayed here with my two teenaged daughters. The area looks industrial, but the hotel was great.

Very nice. The hallway and room smelled fresh. Would definitely stay again. Hate all the rooms with hot tubs were booked. But there's always next time.

Pleasing and Bright

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Attitude of the employees and the ease of access.
While it is far from the main areas of New Orleans as far as I was concerned, the hotel was quite nice. All employees greeted us with a "good morning" or "have a nice day". The rooms were comfortable and I had a very rested night.

Good location, close drive into New Orleans

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: Decent breakfast offerings, clean common areas, great staff.
Cons: Bigger pool, Happy Hour times more convenient to allow time to visit city, FREE hotel shuttle to the ferry.
Location: Take the daily ferry into New Orleans, or drive into the city early AM for best parking rates.
My sister & I drove to New Orleans for this year's annual "Sisters Vacay." The hotel staff was wonderful--very helpful & friendly! I recommend pre-booking a boat tour, swamp tour, plantation tours, walking tours, and cemetery tours online (check Groupon, etc.) so you can schedule everything you want to do on your vacation. Leave time for just walking around, listening to jazz, viewing the artistic displays, shopping, riding the trolley, and possibly catching whatever weekend festival might be going on in the city.
