beautiful place, awesome service from the hostPosted Oct 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived just before the sunset. The GPS navigator didn't have the address of the place and took us to a different house ....people are so nice and helpful in NZ...two girls explained how to get to the villa. The hosting couple were very pleasant, served tea, and were helpful to find a place to dine. They may prepare dinner for you if you give them 24 hours notice in advance. In the morning they made exceptional breakfast. It was excellent stay and service.

Pricey. But nicely done up. Hospitable owners.Posted May 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location is out of town. No problem if driving. Rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished, comfortable and clean. Free wifi and all other amenities you would expect from a hotel. Rooms look out to a beautiful pond. Night sky is beautiful too cos you're out in the countryside with no lights nearby. Priced a little steep, but worth the money if travelling with someone special or for a special occasion. Probably not worth the price if just spending the night and leaving early morning.

would have stayed longer..Posted Feb 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved this place and it is worth every penny. Val and Roger have made sure everything is first class and their personal touch makes it perfect. Very good WiFi connection and as we are touring in NZ, know that is not always the case. Loved it almost as much as we love this beautiful country. We would have stayed longer but our trip was all pre-planned, at least for this section.

Great place and terrific hospitality; Great value.Posted Sep 10, 2012
Pros: Spacious, clean, comfortable and modern bedroom suite. Lovely hospitality. Great food. Lovely setting. Affordable cost.
Location: Beautiful countryside a few miles north of Whangarei and 45 minutes drive south of Bay of Islands. Great position for touring Northland.
The couple who own the Villa could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The best cream tea we have experienced for many years was offerred on our arrival in late afternoon. The Villa itself is a spacious property, but with a homely feel, within beautiful grounds. The owners have undertaken very imaginative home improvement projects and the result is a comfortable, large dining/breakfast room open to the ultra modern kitchen which adds to the ambience, and terrific bedroom suites. We enquired whether an evening meal might be possible but at such short notice we expected to be out of luck. Instead, at very reasonable cost we were given a most delicious meal with a good bottle of wine included. All in all, a great experience!

I would galdly return and stay there again.Posted Nov 29, 2011
Location: I didn't really explore much of the town, we stayed there in order to get to other places.
Can be a little hard to find first up. The signage could be more prominent but otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, and the service was good. The operators are extremely personable and helpful. It is certainly the best bed and breakfast place I have stayed in.
