Quaint Hotel Right on Nehalem BayPosted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: We really liked that it was cozy and small (only eight rooms). The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a dresser in our room and the two antique chairs were not comfortable. (refurbish?)
Location: It's located south of Manzanita. The Rising Star Cafe has exceptional food, there are two huge antique stores to get lost in & you can rent kayaks.
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. We found the town to be a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The dock is a great place to watch for wildlife, especially on a clear day. The park and train station are charming and the residents are welcoming. If you enjoy sweets, the bakeries/cafes have excellent pastries. :-)

Great romantic weekend getawayPosted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: the room, location, charm and staff
Location: the oregon coast is always beautiful and Tillamook and Seaside are both 24 miles away.
Our host was very accommodating and very nice. We arrived right at 8 o'clock, the limit for check-in, but we still got a nice tour and he made sure we had ice for the evening. Our room was very charming and comfortable. We will definitely stay again, and reccomend it highly.

Nice relaxing little place to stay.Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Nice little place to stay. We stayed in Rm 6 and was told by hotel no bathroom in room when we made reservation. There was a bathroom (just for Rm 6) down the hall. Saved a bit of money on this room because of this. Would stay here again.

This surpassed our expectations. We're too far away or would make this a frequent destination!

Old world charm.Posted Sep 25, 2014
Cons: Staff could be more hospitable.
Location: Small town, about 3 miles from Manzanita and the ocean.
Breakfast was OK, not great. Rooms were well done with nice views. If you like a small Hotel remodeled older building near the Oregon Coast, this is a good option.

Quiet, Low Key HotelPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Our stay was very quiet.
This is a great hotel to get away from it all. Comfortable bed, nice view, charming breakfast area, good DVD selections, and very friendly staff. My cell and no reception in Wheeler, so having Wi-Fi available was very helpful.

Hotel owner did a nice job furnishing it with antiques. Hang out in the lounge with some fascinating fellow travelers and bring some wine and tillamock cheese to share!

geweldigPosted Jul 30, 2014

First, I love this place and would recommend it. I love all of the old style and original antique everything about the place. The only downfall is that antique things don't always work like new things. Nothing bad just a couple of things like the AC in the room and the front door lock, how to use them. Otherwise I absolutely love this place.
