Worst hotel experience ever!

Posted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: Nothing at this time
Cons: Security available for customer safety
AT 8pm on a Saturday someone beat on our door shouting incoherently. We were horrified and called the front desk asking for help. The person on duty came to our floor and said he didn't see the offensive party. We asked him for the security personnel and he said he was security. We were very concerned for our safety and told him so. He said if we didn't like it we could leave. After words were exchanged he actually threatened to evict us. I called the local sheriff who responded to assist us. We are 70 yrs old, 80 miles from home, with limited night vision. The sheriff assured us we could spend the night. We left asap in the am without any adjustment in our charges or even an apology for a very horrific experience! We informed the corporate office of this event with no response as yet.

A place of character

Posted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: It was quiet. The front desk staff were accommodating.
Cons: It really needs to have the furniture updated and/or "spruced up" a little. Maybe some paint.
Location: I was just there for an overnight and was not staying in the area but I did notice there were lots of shops nearby including a large mall.
I am accustomed to staying in five star hotels but booked this one using Expedia for the first time. I think I will take a different approach the next time I am looking for a place to stay. I will say that this is a "well worn" facility. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and so was the manager/owner? The room was large and comfortable but the furniture was in need of a bit of attention. The bathroom was clean, as was the room. It had all the amenities, coffee maker, microwave and small refrigerator. The self serve breakfast area was very nice with a toaster, waffle maker, juice machine, etc. It was not fancy but it was more than adequate. If you are trying to impress someone with an overnight, this is not the place to stay.

Been there, done that

Room was upgraded but there was a mirror above the head board. Breakfast was pitiful. The check out staffer was creepy and dressed poorly.

Was ok... needed cleaning

Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: Convenient to area.
Cons: Rooms could be cleaner, no odor, and carpets should be cleaned.
Room was dusty on mirrors and overhead lights. Had a damp odor to it, and carpet had whitish colored stains.

low class - high price

Should have known when I got there what to expect. Paid 25 more to get into a "suite" so i could stretch my arms in the morning and not hit both walls.

Good location, close to restaurants and shopping.

Pros: Good location.
Cons: Cleaner pool and functioning hot tub.
Pleasant staff, quick and easy check in. Indoor pool had clean, warm water but tiles on perimeter needed cleaning. Hot tub closed. I wasn't able to access free wifi in my room as advertised. Furniture and carpeting old and worn but appeared clean, Beds were comfortable as was temperature control.

A nice place to sleep.

Pros: Comfortable beds, and cold refrigerator.
Cons: Scary basement setting for pool and game room.
Location: Quiet and off by itself...but just a few yards from a very nice mall and plenty of restaurants.
I thought the room was nice. It had comfortable beds, microwave, cold refrigerator, nice TV., heating and air conditioning worked comfortably, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The complimentary breakfast was probably the least choices I have seen, but it was well stocked and o.k. The indoor pool was in the basement, very dark and scary, and it was moldy on the sides, so we decided not to use it. The hotel was located in a quiet area and I slept very well.
