“It was OK if.....”
The week-end we checked in happened to be a Canadian holiday and there was a rowdy group staying on the floor we were in and conversed in loud voices in the hall way into late night making us difficult to sleep. Even a low sound in the hall way came through the door into the room. The rest of the say was satisfactory. The staff at the from desk and bell captain desk were very helpful and nice.
“Great Suites and Location!”
We arrived early and had to wait to check in. Nice reception area with a fire so we sat there for 30 minutes which was fine. We had the one bedroom suite and it is a little small but has everything you need. If you keep organized it is fine. Had some trouble with the fridge but when we finally got around to reporting it they actioned the request that day and replaced the fridge. Great to have dishwasher, washer and dryer in the room. The lounge has a gas fire but we didn't use it. Nice little table to eat at with 4 chairs. Oven, stove, microwave, kettle, toaster etc etc. Well stocked. Easy walk to the lifts but after the first day we used the complimentary shuttle to the lifts and then back again in the afternoon. Great friendly Aussie drivers and we never had to wait more than 10 mins. Great pickup in the afternoon as you ski to the road and just walk to the other side of the road....easy and convenient. Also great ski and snowboard storage on the ground floor which was also complimentary. Convenient safe parking underground cost of $26 per day...we never touched the car while there. We opted for internet access cost of $30 for 5 days. We chose Delta Suites due to it being close to the Daycare facility (not ski school just full or half day daycare - Teddy Bear I think it is called). A nice quick walk through the village for my young daughter. Have a pool and hot tub but we didn't use it. LOVED Whistler Village. AWESOME place can't wait to go back when the budget allows :-)
“winter ski vacation”
My stay at the Delta was better than I expected. I knew it was not a ski in ski out hotel but its close enough to the mountain it didn't bother me. I ski'd 4 days of my vacation & the hotel was an easy 10min or less walk to whislter base. They offer a shuttle but I enjoyed the walk through the villiage. The room was a good size & had everything I needed in the kitchen. Staff was friendly & the bar downstairs had a great happy hour deal for after a day on the slopes. I also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. They have an indoor option also but I loved sitting in the hot tub surrounded by the snow.I would return again & reccomend to others.
“just okay”
They forgot to even make our bed up.
“whistler is great this time of year”
had a great time wandering whistler ... lots of shopping and easy to get involved with locals ... quite surprised with all the Aussie's in service jobs
“Excellent customer service”
The Delta Whistler was a perfect location for us. As a nonskier I was able to walk around the village and take a free shuttle from the hotel while the skiers had their fun. Free shuttle to the ski lifts and ski rental and storage another plus. If possible stop on the way up to Whistler for supplies because the grocers are priced to take advantage of tourists. We had requested a rollaway or sofa bed in one of the rooms but the room at check-in was not big enough to accommodate this request. We were shown upgraded rooms, at additional costs, that were perfect for our needs. The hotel management went out of its way to make us comfortable. Word of caution, there is a lot of noise from the bar across the street late into the night.
“Great!!!!!”
It was awesome! just a few minutes to the gondola, and they let us check in early. they were really nice.
“First Time to Whistler”
This was my first time to Whistler and it was an enjoyable experience.
“Great location along the village stroll.”
Everything you need is easily within walking distance. This includes the lifts, shopping, restaurants, bars, and the market. Everyone at the hotel was polite and helpful. We rented our skis at the hotel. Very convenient. A shuttle will take you to the slopes if you don't want to make the 7 minute trek in your ski boots. It is a two minute shuttle drive to the lifts.
“Can't wait to go Back!”
The hotel is located in a great area for access to anything and everything you could want to do. My family stayed in a one bedroom suit and for the 4 of us it was perfect little family get away. Late at night we would come off the slopes and sit down by the fire and just relax! Great area, great people, and great hotel.
