“Good Location”

We were very satisfied with the location of this hotel for snow skiing. The bus picks up right outside the hotel and is only a few short stops to Blackcomb mountain.

“Great place away from village”

We very much enjoyed our stay at the HH (April 2007). Our room was actually a suite with a large dining area, sitting room, full kitchen, big bathroom, and bedroom. The shuttle stop is right across the road, and the bus comes often for the short ride down to lifts or Whistler village. This would be an especially good place if you like to cook some of your own meals and don't need to spend a lot of time in the village. We will definitely consider the HH next time we come.

We stayed during Christmas time and it was fabulous! The shuttle bus was convenient. The ski locker was convenient. Room was stocked with everything we needed.

“excellent condo”

Beautiful location, quiet, well decorated, only issue was checkout at 10:00 am, the keycards expired at EXACTLY 10 am leaving us trapped inbetween areas trying to load a car and there was no one in the building to help and had to wait for a fellow traveler to come open the door. There could have been info given as to this prior to departure.

“Quiet and roomy!”

This was a great place to stay at a great price. We stayed in their 1 bedroom condo. It was very roomy. The bathroom is very large and has a soaking tub and plenty of counter space. The kitchen is pretty well equipped to be able to do some cooking. It is nice and quiet compared to staying in the village. The room had a beautiful view! There is free, secure underground parking. The bus stops right out front of the Horstman House and is free to the village. The bus drops you right off at the base of the mountain. The hottub and pool area is very nice. The only negatives here is that there isn't an staff onsite at all time so if you have issues you have to call somewhere else, the rooms are not air conditioned so could be an issue in the middle of summer, and the overall upkeep could use a small bit of work but overall these small things didn't detract from the overall experience. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

“Nice condos and good location”

Our family of 4 stayed at Horstman House right after the New Year. The facility is GREAT. The condos are comfy and spacious, and are very well-equipped. The hot tub and pool are in a pretty, wooded site, off of the road. Everything really clean. The shuttle is right out the front. We had a little issue on check-in when we got there after-hours and it was all locked up with no sign. We finally were able to scoot in behind someone else and found a sign, well inside of the lobby, that after-hours check-in was at another lodge in the village, but it didn't say where that lodge was located. Not fun pulling into town at night in the snow, travel-weary, no map, and not knowing where we were going. Didn't see management much for most of our stay as the front desk is open only limited hours. Didn't really need too though because we had everything we needed. Wasn't terribly thrilled about the timeshare come-ons at the resort, but whatever. I read the review about the floors being thin and that helped since we had two kids in tow. Didn't really find it to be an issue though.

“Lovely apartment”

We are not used to bunk beds. Kept banging my head on the lower bunk. The upper bunk bed does not have a guard rail. Should have twin beds in there. The master bedroom and the apartment are lovely. Did not use much of the hotel facility. The hotel looks very nice and quiet in a lovely area. Parking is free. Would definitely use this hotel again.

“Cozy & Clean”

The condo is nicely cared for. Everything was clean and in excellent condition. The pool isn't heated but there is a nice, large hot tub right there so it's not a big deal. If we were to go to Whistler again, we would have no problem staying at the Horstman House. Don't lose your room key, it will cost you a lot!

“Very Good Accomodations”

For my first trip to Whistler, I found the Horstman to be a great place. It is located away from the village but within easy walking distance. I got the 2 bedroom, which slept 4 of us very comfortably. The only drawback was we had our room on the 3rd floor and could hear all the commotion going on in the room above us. Othewise, everything was great. It has secure parking and the rooms were well stocked with linens, kitcheware, etc. I would certainly go back.
