Locals stay-cation; Exceeded our expectations!

We had a great stay at the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside. The room smelt like a spa and there was a card and chocolate from the hotel when we arrived in the room. The pool and hot tub was so nice after a day on the hill.

Great place. Great people

Pros: The staff Super helpful. Super friendly. Didn't even feel like we were 3,000 miles away from home.
Cons: The only I could really think of is maybe a complementary breakfast.
Location: Plenty of little pubs. Lots of stores and a grocery store 2-3 blocks away.
The staff was awesome. Perfect location to walk around and to party. The pool and hottub are great after a long day of sking. We will be coming back and already planning for next year.

Location convenient for beginner skiers.

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Short walk to village
Location: Went to Olympic plaza with family.
Silent sleep and yet could have wild nightlife if I wanted to with Dublin pub on ground floor. Tall windows let in a lot of light with great view of mountain. Housekeeper kept things clean but couldn't find tag for do not disturb. Handy kitchen but could not find baking sheet after service staff told us to look in drawers. Overall very comfortable and short walk to ski lift made my stay great.

Location, location, location !!!

Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Pan to cook eggs
This is the third time I have stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside. The location is second to none and the staff is extremely accommodating. You feel like you are "down under" because a majority of all of the workers at Whistler are from Australia / New Zealand. They were extremely friendly and now that I am back home in Arizona, I find myself telling people "no worries" because that is the expression used by everyone. If I can find only one fault, it is the kitchen utencils. No pan to cook eggs. Only a pot and I burned my eggs every time.

Fab!

Great place to stay. Slope side with everything geared to an easy ski. Lockers good although not for boots which most carry to their rooms overnight. Always a valet to hand to help. Staff at reception excellent and easily enabled restaurant bookings- essential to do in advance especially at busy times or in our case a busy time combined with huge snow dumps. Rooms were faultless with lots of nice extras incl bathrobes, Starbucks coffee, biscuits for children at half five, hot chocolate when watching show on sun night. We had issue with bin emptying at 1am (4th floor) but staff were happy to move us to a quieter location. My only negative comment is that this is not a quiet place overall to stay with the piste bashers starting work around 4am most mornings but I would imagine the same applies to any of the slope side residences.........and the access to slopes and village facilities more than makes up for this. Would definitely stay again!!

Hi Mel, Thank you for so generously sharing your feedback from your recent trip experience with us here in resort. I am so happy to read that everything was to your satisfaction and the extra 'touches', such as the bathrobes, the complimentary hot chocolate during the Fire & Ice shows and the children's cookie programme were a hit with you and your family. Apologies for any noise issues you experienced with the snow removal and snowcats. As you mentioned, the 'downside' to receiving very generous and frequent 'dumps' of snow, is that these operators do need to work tirelessly throughout the night. I hope that this did not inconvenience you unnecessarily during your stay. We may just hold you to your last comment and will certainly look forward to being able to welcome you back once again. Amazing

The hotel has a true ski in/ ski out. Both gondolas were just outside the hotel doors. Our room was spacious with a fireplace. The only thing we wish it had was the spa treatments were only offered at the pan pacific whistler village ( which was not far ). The staff was great. The hotel had a great pub aswell as a lockeroom for ur snowboards. We had an amazing time in the hotel.
