Squamish fest 2014 the stay at Pan

Posted Aug 13, 2014
We went for the Squamish fest and. Stayed at the Pan Pacific we got there looked at the view to find the Redbull sign and a mountain bike Xgames qualifier out in the back of the hotel. It was awesome sit at the pool and watch the races then in to the town of Squamish for the festival. The hotel was great the room was great Whistler experience was so fun. And Eminem was over the top. Thanks Pan Pacific for being a part of a great weekend.

Very nice hotel right in the Village!

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The staff and the room.
Cons: The internet needs to be updated... I would rather pay, then go through the torture of how slow it was.
Location: Everything in Whistler (or the access to) is right at your fingertips. We were there in the summer and LOVED it!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was clean and well equipped. Warning: The internet might be free, but it is terribly slow to the point of not worth it. I would recommend Self Parking... that way you have access to your car without bothering the Valet to store your luggage when you check out.

Another Great Stay at Mountainside

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Duhblin Gate Restaraunt and that they let you stay parked until 6PM on the day you check out leaving tons of time to continue to enjoy Whistler.
Location: Peak to Peak and lifts upto Roundhouse Lodge or Christine's for drinks and food on top of the world. Hike to Lost lake always beautiful/
This has been our 5th or 6th stay at the Pan Pacific Mountainside Hotel and we are always pleased. This trip was no different. Recomend doing the Peak to Peak experience and taking the lifts upto Roundhouse Lodge for drinks and food on top of the world (Whistler mtn - not Blackcomb). For one day this costs $52.95 per adult, however for BC residents you can get a Summer Pass for $59.95 for unlimited rides up the lifts and peak to peak until early October. Even if you are just there for a week and think you'll go up the mountain (say for the hikes at the top) more than one day its worth it. Even for non residents its only $81.95.

Ideal location- close to chair lift.

Perfect spot for mountain bikers. They have a free bike valet service that we felt comfortable leaving our 4 bikes in. Great view up the mountain from the pool. Key card needed to use the elevator and to access pool. FREE public parking lot about a block down the street. They don't tell you at the front desk, but when I asked the woman showed me on the map where it was. The room was fine, but the master was a little tight. Don't think a larger person could maneuver around the bed. Seriously.

Great on piste biking hangout

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Hotel facilities were great but the real plus was being literally 1 minutes wall from the bike park. Great pool and gym facilities too. Only downsode was 28 per day to park your car which I think should be included in room charge. Turned out there was a car park across the road where it cost 8 per day.

Love the location! The view is amazing!

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: The location in the village is a huge plus. It's luxury without being uptight. We love sitting by the pool in the summer and just kicking back.
Cons: For the first time, we had a poor experience with housekeeping. After our first night, the room looked as if it had been rushed through.
Location: Love the location! Close to the lifts, restaurants, trails, groceries....pretty much everything!
Staying at the Pan Pacific Mountainside is always a wonderful experience. We always feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds are wonderful! The views to the mountain are simply fabulous. We love to relax by the pool and enjoy the lushness of the hills and the excitement of watching the bikers ripping down the hill. It's always difficult to leave.

Not a 4 star experience by a large margin.

Pro: location, view, ok-sized rooms. Con: malfunctioning air-conditioning and internet access. Was staying here for 5 nights in mid-July during a heat wave, ended up having to sleep on a sofa in the living room with the balcony door opened to get some air. Having that door opened in turn required ear plugs on - the flip side of hotel central location where someone is always having a party outside 24/7. Very strange wireless internet which resets the connection at least ones every minute. Makes VPN/RDP impossible. Had to tether to my cell-phone in order to VPN to work. Amazingly squeaky bed. Ok, they fixed that one, though the fix lasted for only about a day. Sorry, but I will never ever be staying here again.

Clean room and comfy bed. Perfect room size and friendly pub staff. Front desk was always helpful. Kids loved pool and hot tubs. Close to gondola and shops. Just so perfect and pleasant. We will come back here again soon.

Awesome hotel and unbeatable location

Posted Jul 20, 2014
We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights with 3 of us. It's was great! Everything was clean and nothing looked old or worn down. The beds were extremely comfortable, for once I think a hotel bed may have been more comfortable than my own. The hands down best part was the location. If you're going biking(or skiing if you go in the winter) it is as close to the lift as you can stay, it's right outside the door and from our window and the pool you looked onto the mountainside. It's right in the heart of the village and everything is close by, but it's just in the right spot so that when you're ready for bed, it's not loud from outside noise and people. Overall I was more than satisfied with this hotel and it was the icing on the cake to a great trip, I will definitely be back!
