Boys trip

Posted Oct 10, 2014
Seven friends and I got together for a couple of days of golf in whistler. Chateau was great. The waiter poolside (Jean Pierre) was exceptional and represented 'old school' service you just don't find anymore. Spa staff was also great.

Loved this hotel

Posted Oct 5, 2014
The Fairmont a Whistler is first call in every respect. The service, the rooms and the views are great. The highlight might be the outdoor pool and hot tubs..... It is so cool to sit in the tubs while the snow is falling around you! We played gold at the Whistler course and loved that as well. It is one of the best courses in Canada. If your a golfer, don't miss it. The only downside.... It stinks having to pay $35 for parking.

AN EXCELLENT HOTEL TO STAY

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: CLEANLINESS OF THE ROOM, BATHROOM AND FRESH SHEETS. YOU CAN RQUEST FOR FRESH AND CLEAN SHEETS EVERYDAY OF YOUR STAY IF YOU WISH.
Cons: THE BALCONY IS SMALL, YOUR TWO FEET CAN ONLY SET FOOT ON. THAT'S ABOUT IT. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THEY CAN MAKE THIS BIGGER SO TWO PEOPLE CAN SIT OUT.
Location: EXCELLENT LOCATION, CAN'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT. YOU CAN JUST WALK TO THE OTHER VILLAGE, YOU DON'T NEED A CAR TO GO AROUND THE VILLAGE.
I LIKE THIS HOTEL FOR ITS COMFORT, CONVENIENCE, CLEANLINESS AND NICE, COURTEOUS HELPFUL STAFF.

Great hotel at the heart of Whistler Village

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Location: The hotel is located near the Family Adventure Zone where kids can do all sorts of fun stuff such as the bungy trampoline and hot wheels go carts.
The hotel itself is wonderful and beautiful! Our room is spacious and the bed/pillows are so comfortable. Hotel staff is very friendly and very accommodating. They are very knowledgeable on the things to do around the village. The breakfast buffet at the Wildflower restaurant was fabulous and our room service was fantastic. The pools are very kid friendly and they offer robes for kids as well which I think is really cool!

Old School Service aka Awesome

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Exceptional staff
My wife and our two small kids spent 3 nights at the Fairmont and we had a splendid time from start to finish. We were sorry to go. The staff from valet, front desk, concierge, maids, waiters, everybody were all excellent. We did not have one interaction with any of the staff that was not top notch.

A nice place for relaxation

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The swimming pool, the staff, the location.
Cons: Rooms are old-fashioned (although comfortable). Furniture & bathrooms need some updating. Parking is quite expensive. Wifi only free in lobby
Location: If you have kids, they will enjoy the adventure park right next door.
The hotel is in upper village which is a short walk from the main village. It means that you can avoid the crowds in the main village and yet be close enough to walk there for lunch or dinner. We visited in August and our main intention was to stay in a nice and quiet place with a nice swimming pool. After taking a look at the other hotels in the area, it became clear that the Fairmont swimming pool area was the nicest since there were multiple hot tubs and two reasonably large swimming pools. The other hotels do not compare at all in that category. They were open till 11pm as well, which was great for the days when we came back late and wanted to relax in the hot tub. Definitely enjoyed staying there.

Awesome hotel next to Blackcomb

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Stronger bathroom fan.
Location: Center of upper village, lots of quality restaurants nearby, very close to main village. Ziptrek close by, and good tennis courts which were included!
We visited in summer, and we just loved everything about this hotel. Starting with very friendly and professional staff, beautiful visually in the lobby as well as the room, a great spa with good privacy from the outside world, right smack in the middle of the upper village and only 5 minutes walk from the main village - essentially right next door. We loved the live music at night as well as quality drinks and desserts. Not too uncomfortably fancy and formal: perfect for Whistler and very high quality. Definitely recommend to anyone.
